“Well…” he blushed slightly “mine kinda does too” he mumbled, staring at the ground.

Landyn blushed. "W-What…?"

“I mean…you’re the only person I actually want to talk to. Everyone else…doesn’t really care, I’m just a checkbox on their list, they ask if I’m ‘okay’ and as long as I say yes, their job’s done. But you…actually wanted to meet up and talk with me for no reason except that you wanted to.”

"That's bull sh*t" Landyn covered his mouth. "S-Sorry"

He laughed slightly “I wish it was but…” he shrugged “no one ever pushes me to talk about how I really feel”

"If you ever need anyone to talk to you know I'm here…"

“God you’re perfect…” he muttered without thinking. He felt his face flush even more.

Landyn blushed and hid his face.

“But you actually talk to me and…” he trailed off, the old ghosts returning, ‘he deserves better than you Alex’

Landyn got up and hugged him tightly.

Alex’s body tensed up slightly, his breathing threatening to run out of control. Luckily he was able to shut down the panic before it began.

Landyn realized what happened and let go. "O-Oh my god…I'm so sorry…"

“N-no please don’t apologize…it’s just my issue acting up again. I’m fine I p-promise” he didn’t want to scare Landyn away already.

"…I just reacted without thinking."

“Stop apologizing…please…you didn’t do anything wrong…”

"…If you s-say so…"

“I-it’s my fault that I’m this way”

"No, it's not…"

“I…” he hugged his arms around himself “I’m sorry”

"Now you need to stop apologizing." He tried to joke around but failed.

“You deserve better. You don’t deserve having to deal with someone like me”

"Don't say that. It's not true and you know it."

‘Do I though???’ He thought to himself ‘I was being honest. He shouldn’t have to deal with me, no one should have to.’ He opted to stay silent.

Landyn looked down. "I knew I couldn't be trusted…" He starts walking off.
