Actually, the whole Alpha/Omega thing came from wolves in captivity. True, in a wolf pack there is an Alpha, but we all work together. The only Omegas we have are the ones that die. And even then, they are not Omegas, because they ascend to Alpha status in death. Grey laughs.
asra gives a soft smile " for vampires it is different. while I will never be mated to an alpha, most omegas are mated young because we rely on our alphas to help hunt and allow us to feed. mating is challenging as alphas can be rough and unkind. we take a chance of being killed. we are not as cared for as yours may be."
Grey looks surprised. Your pack fights itself? What use is that, when the whole pack needs to work together to survive?
Grey sighs. Well. . . whatever. We have no pack, except each other now.
He gets up and curls himself around Asra, laying his head in the vampire's lap.
asra stroked his head softly " you are the best pack mate I could ever ask for.." he said softly and planted a soft kiss on the wolf's head.
Grey grins and places a paw on Asra's hand, then falls asleep.
asra had woken once again when the sun was just falling, still surrounded in the fur he knew so well. "mm.."
Grey wakes with Asra, and gets up, stretching languidly. He accidentally shifts, and falls into Asra's lap again, face first. He gives a muffled "Oh, shit" as he gets up.
"Sorry." he murmurs, going outside. The fading sunlight hits his skin, turning him into a creature made of bronze.
asra peeked his head out the door, wearing the coak he was given many months ago. he stood by grey and gave a gentle smile. " watch thinking about?" he asked. asras cobalt blue eyes seemed to glow in the light as he looked to the wolf. hed always felt something between them and nowadays.. it felt stronger the closer they got
Grey looks over. "Me. You."
He looks at the sunset. "The world is dying, yet we couldn't be more alive."
' so, what exactly about us has you thinking?" he asked softly
"I don't know. Wolves are known to get philosophic from time to time." Grey murmurs.
he gave a soft smile " then what are you feeling." he said softly and moved a bit closer
"Tired. A feeling that I need to wander the night." Grey grins, looking at Asra. The sun had set, and now Grey's skin was molten silver, with two gleaming mercury orbs set into the face. He shifts, and the wolf appears in his place.
" then let's go for a walk," he said and leaned down " but.. just to be safe, I got this for you a while ago," he said, hooking a collar around his neck. he made sure it wasn't tight and smiled " you look handsome with it on" he teased
" Sorry, I can look for something different.. but you didn't want to come with me when I go it soo."
Grey snorts. Why do you think I didn't want to come? How do you think people would react to a fucking timber wolf walking into Pet Smart?
"mm ive seen bigger dogs in there. ever seen a greyhound?" he asked and smirked " come on, it will be fun grey, please~"
Greyhound's got nothing on me, Asra. Grey chuckles.
He sighs. Fine.
asra bounced up and around "yes!" he said happily. the mans bright fangy smile was always something to stare at
Grey snorts, and starts trotting in the direction of the city. He looks back, to check if Asra was following.
asra was behind him as always, petting the wolf gently.
Grey shivers, then speeds up, a wolfish grin tossed over his shoulder as he shifts to hybrid, half man, half wolf. He lopes along at a fast pace, Asra next to him the entire time.
"How do you think they'd react to me now?" he growls.
