Charlotte nodded, acknowledging the correction, and smiled slightly. ”I think these should be enough for now.” she agreed since she also found a couple of books about native plants in addition to Isa’s camping guide.

"Excellent. Now we can finally get out of here and stop whispering, eh?" Isa trades a grin with Charlotte, and strolls up to the checkout counter.

Behind the counter, an elderly thin man stands up, whose creaking bones can be heard quite audibly. "A new visitor…..Welcome. Do you have a library card with us?"

Charlotte blinked at the question before shaking her head slightly. ”No, I'm sorry, I don't have a library card. I'm new to the Feywilds.” she admitted, a little embarrassed that she hadn't thought of this. ”Would it be possible to apply for one?”

The old man nods, slowly, the process taking a few minutes. "Yes…..Just….sign here with your name…."
Isa says to Charlotte, "Yeah go ahead. its not a trick or anything, he just needs your full name to give to Liv. Liv is how all the card members and books are organized, and due to her being magic, you need the full name in order to register. But your true name isn't gonna be taken from you.".

”Thank you.” Charlotte nodded, mostly to Isa for the assurance, before starting to sign her full name. But she hesitated for a more when she had to write her last name. Writing her pretentious middle name and even her virtue name hadn't given her much trouble. She didn't want to forget her family name and everything that came with it. Even though she had run away for the sake of wanting some freedom and adventure, she still thought about going back one day and making it her own… but right now she didn't feel like a Deering. She sighed and shook her head before pushing forward to sign it and hand the paper to the old man.

The man takes the paper, and walks into a back room. Some sounds like a combonation of suctioning air, and chewing can be heard, and the man comes back, holding a pristine and lavender colored library card with her name on it. "Here you are. And this is the only book you're checking out?" He asks, picking up the guidebook Charlotte had chosen.

Charlotte raised a brow at the noises but decided not to think about it too much as she waited. ”Thank you, sir." she smiled, accepting the card. Though she had to bite her tongue at the color of the card. ”Actually, I have this one as well.” she told him before handing him the book on Feywild wild flora she had found.

The man nods and records both books on a piece of paper, then hands them back. "Thank you. These books will be due in…..2 weeks. Have a good day."

Isa walks out the door, and takes a deep breath once they are out the door. "Well, that was a good visit. Its a nice feeling when you can finally stop whispering, yeah?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Oh, definitely.” Charlotte nodded, understanding the relief of no longer having to keep her voice down. “Though I’m sure I’ll still enjoy visiting here occasionally.” she added, looking down at her card and finally laughing a little.

"I hope, or else theres no point to getting you a library card. Anyway, what are you going to do now? Figure out where exactly you'll set up camp?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlotte chuckled at Isa’s obvious point but nodded. “I think so. I was thinking about finding someplace on the outskirts of the town you showed me.” she admitted. “That way, I’m not too far away in case of trouble but still getting more familiar with… all this.” she smiled, gesturing to the incredible setting of the Feywilds around them.

Deleted user

"Thats smart. Hm….Yeah, there isn't anything in the outskirts, you have to go pretty far out in order to run into monsters this close to town."

Deleted user

"Do you want my help setting up, or should I leave you to your work?"

Deleted user

"Alright then. I can help you out then. Lets go!" Isa leads Charlotte away from the town, towards a good place to camp out in.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Charlotte smiled and followed Isa, trusting him to know of a good spot. She was planning on mostly living off the land, as much as she could, with the help of the books and from any people who would be willing to help from the town.

Isa arrives at a flat grassy field on the outskirts of the forest. A little rugged, but colorful and out of range of the usual Fey dangers. "Alright, I think this should be a good spot for you to set up camp."
