Aziza shrugged and slipped between the houses. "I um, its a really bad spot, and it doesn't help that you look important. Not that that's a bad thing." He quickly added the last part. "But if you ask me to leave I will. Don't worry."
Aziza shrugged and slipped between the houses. "I um, its a really bad spot, and it doesn't help that you look important. Not that that's a bad thing." He quickly added the last part. "But if you ask me to leave I will. Don't worry."
She looked down at her wrists, looking at the bands that were wrapped around. 'He has a point. it is obvious as to who i am.' Zahra stood up and walked up to the man and slowly, she began to remove everything that was shiny. "Hold out your hands."
Aziza cocked his head to the side, "Pardon me, but what?" He looked at her confused. "I don't want your jewels, your highness." But he still put his hands out, he didnt know why. And it was true, he didn't want her jewels. It was just he didn't want her to get made at him.
"Consider it a present." she smiled as she handed him any and all indication of her status. as she placed the last bracelet into his hands she looked up to his face. "There, now we can walk around…only if you want to though."
Aziza awkwardly held the jewels, "but, I don't know what to do with these." He looked up at her. "But um yeah. I'd you want to walk around sure. Is there any where you wanted to go, you highness?"
A small frown formed at the corners of her mouth "Please, Zahra is fine. And as for the items, why not give them to your significant other. Im sure she'd like them" She gave him a once over 'He obviously HAS to have someone.' A light pink faintly formed on her cheeks. "And as for where to go…where are some of your favorite spots?"
Aziza nodded his head, "Zarha." He tested her name on his lips and smiled before again looking at the jewels still in his hands. "I don't have a significant other." He mumbled sheepishly. Aziza bowed his head, "but um my name is Aziza."
Her blush had increased slightly as he said her name. Zahra was not used to anyone other than her husband saying her name. Quickly gathering her thoughts and composure at the mention of him not having anyone, she smiled slightly slightly when he told her his name "Aziza," Zahras smile grew a little wider "what a lovely name. But…" She walked out of the small space and into the sunny streets, waiting for him to follow "no significant other? Is there a reason why?"
Aziza smiled, enjoying how his name sounded leaving her mouth and praticly dancing back to his ears. He jumped at her sudden question but quickly composed himself. "Ah, I don't know," Aziza shrugged, "I've just never found a significant other, I guess." He followed Zahra as he spoke, "but I guess I probably should eventually. What about you? What's being married to the," he whispered the last part, "The Pharaoh."
Walking to nowhere in particular, she chuckled when Aziza had jumped. "Just make sure you dont settle. After all, you'd be spending the rest of you life with them…you need to make sure you actually like them." she laughed, but her smile faded slightly as she thought about how to answer his question. "It's…….hes nice, and we get along." While her face didnt show it, her heart ached as she remembered why she married him, and what she's missing out on. Trying her best to hide it, she smiled again, "we are good friends, have been since we were children."
"But, do you love him-" Aziza shook his head, "ah, sorry I dont mean to question your marriage." He silently chastised himself for asking such a stupid question. "Don't mind my questions, and don't bother answering them." He smiled warmly at her.
'Cute.' Zahras heart seemed to skip a beat when he smiled at her. 'Stop it. you just met him' She shook her head slightly, trying to dispel the thoughts. "It's quite alright. The union was just…what was best for Egypt." She sighed "He has his strengths, and i have mine. we happened to balance out. He knows how to talk to people, and i know war." Hoping to move away from the topic, she looked back to him. "Well, you obviously know me more than i know you. So tell me, what do you do for a living?"
"Oh," Aziza thought for a moment, trying to keep his eyes from her face. Her beautiful face that seemed quiet distracting to him. "Well I'm a farmer." He nodded his head, "a woman of war huh? Tell me about it. It sounds, exciting."
Zahra smirked as she looked away, "Well, at the moment it's been quite dull. So all i do as of late is argue with the council, brush up on tactics, and let my animals keep me company while i read or train." Zahras eyes went wide as she realized what time of day it was "Oh! Speaking of, do you happen to know where i can get meat of some sort? One of my pets is expecting a treat."
"Um, I'd assume the market. They seem to sell almost everything there." Aziza cocked his head to the side, "pets? What kind of pets? Is it safe to assume big ones, with the hole, 'expecting a treat thing' I'd assume so."
Zahra bit her bottom lip as a mischievous smirk spread across her face. "Well…one is a cat. And the other…well, youll see. I promise shes really nice." She moved to dig out some coins from a small pouch tied to her hip. "Would mind going to get it? Ill meet you by the river."
"Oh right um of course." Realization hit his face, "is it a, a crocodile?" Aziza asked quietly, his eyes wide. "But um yeah. I'll get the meet for you, your- I mean Zahra." He forced a smile to hide his uneasiness.
"You will find out soon enough Aziza." Zahra lightly grabbed his hand and faced his palm upwards. As she placed the money into his hand her fingertips lightly grazed his. Electricity seemed to shoot through her as she admired how strong his hands felt, but as to not make it noticeable, she quickly released him. "It doesnt need to be too big. She doesnt need much. But thank you Aziza." She turned on her heels and headed to the river to wait.
"I have a feeling it is a crocodile." Aziza mumbled to himself. He jumped a little when she grabbed his hand but quickly hid his reaction. "Right uh yeah of course see you by the river." He gave a small wave before turning the other way and heading twords the market. It didn't take long for Aziza to find a vendor that sold meat, he played for something that resembled a chicken and hurried down to the river to meet up with Zahra.
Zahra sat on the river bank, staring out towards the horizon. Its been so long since shes had a chance to just…breathe. Drawing her knees to her chest, her mind went back to her new friend. Something about him made her…happy? Her brows furrowed as she tried to figure out why. 'maybe because its been so long since ive talked to someone other than Tiye or Amenhotep.' She tried to rationalize her feelings, but deep down, she felt that wasnt the case. Trying to dristract herself, she forced her mind to plot out strategies and tactis for battle and training.
Aziza looked along the river bank till he found Zahra. He called out to her and held up the chicken corps he was holding by a string. "I got the meat, and here's the left over money." He jogged over to her and handed her the meat along with the left over coins. "Is this pet, is it around here somewhere? Or was this just to mess with my mind?"
Zahra stiffened up when he called out to her, then once she realized it was him, she stood up and dusted herself off. "You startled me." She chuckled. "Thank you, and no. It wasnt to mess with you. Shes mad at me and is hiding. But she wont ignore me with this." She took the coins and placed them into her pouch before grabbing a hold of the chicken. "Just…dont move too fast."
Aziza nodded his head, "I am going to die, aren't I?" He muttered to himself as his eyes stayed glued to the water. Not really in fear, more of something intreaged. A wanting to see what ever this pet might be. "A she? What's her name then?"
Zahra couldnt help but laugh out loud at his comment, "You wont die as long as im around." She then turned and carefully walked out into the water. "Her name is Honey. Shes nice, i promise." Not paying much attention, she went in so far that the water reached quite above her knees. Holding the chicken in one hand, Zahra lightly tapped the surface of the water and whistled. Soon, something that looked like a BIG log floated to the surface and drifted toward her. "Do you want to say hi?" She looked over her shoulder to Aziza.
Aziza shook his head, "no" he squeaked out, "maybe another time." He watched the thing that looked like a log, but knew very well that it wasn't a log at all. He watched carefully, intreaged with the crocodile. "Did you raise her or something?"
