"I didn't mean it like that. I wish I could blame it on my addled mind from being a human for so long, but, I was thinking clearly. I shouldn't have said that, I was just surprised. I'm really, truly, sorry."

Rizin shrugs, "it's totally fine."

"You don't mean that. I hurt you." Ronan looks down sadly.

Rizin sighs, "It's fine."

"No its not," Ronan said sulkily. "I hurt you."

Eizin laughs, "Look, its fine okay?"

Ronan just shook his head and climbed out onto the roof.
(not turning into a dragon, just sulking)

Rizin follows him.

Ronan sits on the edge of the roof, feet dangling off.

Rizin sits next to him, his tail curling close, "Look. . ."

Ronan doesn't look up. A single tear slides down his cheek.

Rizin reaches over, "I don't have a family to go home to. They were killed by hunters. and last year, I did stupid stuff and got banished from home. And its so hard to make friends with secrets between you, and so I've been trying to. . . but they all hurt me in the end, one way or another."

"Like I hurt you." Ronan said flatly.

Rizin shakes his head, “No. . . Not really. . . You took it back. No one else has ever done that. . .” He smiles slightly.

"But I still did it. I was raised to be kind. My parents are going to kill me now. But that doesn't matter. I deserve it."

Rizin reaches over, placing his hand on Ronan’s shoulder, “It’s okay. . . You didn’t expect it, you were shocked.”

"It was more than that." Ronan said. He didn't elaborate.

Rizin sighs, “Ronan, just forget it happened, okay?” His tail appears again, whip thin and curling slowly.

"Whatever," Ronan said, not moving.

Rizin pulls his hand back, looking hurt and he sighs, “Fine. Keep sulking when I’m trying to open up to you.” His tail vanishes again. He jumps down, slipping back through the window.
