A large crash came from the area of the kitchen along with the loud sound of the lock smashing.
Letting the crumpled note fall to the floor, she walked slowly and cautiously over to the kitchen. "Tomas? Is that you?" Gracie called out, her voice filled with hesitation.
"Yeet skeet and lemon feet. You can't come in though, I broke the lock. You wouldnt want to come in anyhow, would you?"
Gracie let out the breath she hadn't known she'd been holding. "No, not really," she called back. But after that scare, she felt the anger drain out of her, only to be replaced with fear and depression.
"Cool beans, please dont try to kill me then." Tomas shouted, the sounds of things clattering to the ground and muffled swears.
"Alright!" Gracie said, leaning against the wall. (I'm gonna wait for someone else to reply)
(Heck sorry I'm on vacation and leeching off my parents' hotspot.)
Elizabeth, who had been sitting quietly in a corner, staring at nothing, suddenly looked up with a jolt and saw musical instruments. Broken. Dead. Everywhere. She let out a small whimper, shifting back in her seat and tucking her legs into her chest. She wasn't supposed to leave or move or use her ability or speak or breath or live or - but she had to find out what was making such loud noises. Cautiously, she stood on shaky legs and made her way out the door, following the sounds of crashing and clattering. "Hello?" She called in a voice barely above a whisper. Peeking her head around the doorway, she took in the scene and immediately ducked back out, heart racing. Were they trying to kill each other? Why were they in the kitchen, with all the knives and the fire and - she decided not to ask, simply standing and trying to slow her breathing.
Luna just sat there, with her flute and kept playing. Thinking that if she just sat there, and was good, she won't get in trouble for what they were doing.
(Oh, that's fine)
Gracie turned around at the call. "Oh hello there!" she called, a fake smile plastered on her face, trying to hide her inner feelings. "Heh, if you came here about the noise, that's just Tomas rumbling around in the kitchen… we're gonna break out of here, probably." Pursing her lips, she turned around, hiding her face.
Elizabeth froze before slowly backing away, trying to stop her hands from shaking. She shook her head numbly. "Don't… bad people - " she cleared her throat briefly, "bad people will find you again."
Gracie chuckled lightly. "I-I can deal with them…" she replied, her smile fading, she couldn't keep it up anymore. Leaning against the way, she bit her lower lip to stop the tears from coming.
But her curiosity got the best fo her, so she set the flute down, followed where they went and peaked around the corner.
"What are you doing?" Felicity asks Luna in a panic, "You should go back to your seat."
But Luna wasn't listening, as she watched them……trying to break out? She tilted her head in confusion, as she stared at them.
Elizabeth shook her head again, harder. "You can't. Don't," she warned, backing up again and almost tripping. "Your eyes… they're bleeding clear."
Then Luna heard someone talking, so she looked a towards the voices and saw the person with a missing eye talking to someone in…..Well, let's face it the other person was basically in a cell.
"Nonono," Gracie shook her head, trying to clear all these feelings. If so she should proceed, she shan't have any feelings at all. "How can you see my eye?" she questioned, her voice hard and cold now. "No, you can't," she answered herself. Chuckling lightly, she turned around. Pointing to her right eye, she explained. "You see, I only have one eye…"
Elizabeth gasped at the sudden movement, then turned her head and saw another person. She immediately backed up once again, shaking her head to clear it. "Is that your - talent?" She questioned, still barely whispering.
(I have to leave now (or very soon?), sorry! I'll be back when possible.)
Luna knew the one in the cell saw her, so she freaked out and ran back to the chair. As she sat down, she picked up the flute and kept playing.
"Oh, nono…" Gracie replied, letting her body fall, leaning against the wall, until she was sitting with her legs pulled up. Closing her eyes, "I wish it was, though. Really, any talent would be better than mine…"
(That's alright.)
(Oh alright Emmy, that's fine!)
Then she heard something that made her stop playing the flute. It was what the person with the missing eye said. So, she put the flute back down and walked over to where she stood before, but this time, she took one step forward.
'What is it?" Luna whispered carefully, hoping she wouldn't freak out at her.
"What is it?" She asked quietly, curiously. Then she blinked quickly, shaking her head. "I should go," she said quickly, and started walking in the opposite direction.
"I… the future," Gracie whispered softly, looking away.
Luna, slowly, walked over and carefully sat next to her.
"It is traumatizing? Seeing the future, I mean." She asked softly.
