Gracie set a hand on Elizabeth's shoulder. "Hey," she said gently. "What's wrong?"

Elizabeth flinched away. "I don't - like - and the rules - " she squeezed her eyes shut tightly and took several deep breaths.

Her eyes hardened at the mention of the rules. "No, I want to get as far away from here as possible. The rules are behind us now."

Elizabeth shook her head rapidly, but didn't say anything. The rules wouldn't ever be behind her.
