(Indeed lmao)
Gabriel stirred two days later, all his lost sleep regained from the two month period. His eyes did not flick open, for he wasn't ready to face the sun, but his muscles twitched. The movement in his body became greater as the gears in his mind started to turn. His brain told him he was entirely too warm. Way too warm. His eye flicked open, a harsh breath taken in. How long had he been inactive? It seemed too long. Gabriel moved the blanket off of his body, trying to loose the extra heat.
Nyx shifts slightly from where he hung on the ceiling.
Gabriel had not been too far off a while ago in his flippancy, when he asked if the demon lord would be resting in a cocoon hanging from the ceiling.
He was currently a strange reptilian creature, wrapped up tightly in shadows, hanging from the ceiling like some monstrous butterfly chrysalis.
(This is one of the many reasons why Gabriel should not be right)
Gabriel's bodily movement ceased. He did not look up, he did not question. The hairs of the back of his neck stood, his body telling him something was wrong. But Gabriel did not have time to question that something. He finally sat up, blinking and yawning, one thing on his forsaken mind. Spells. It was strange, at least he thought so. Swinging his legs over the edge of bed, the thought in his mind shifted. His eyes were quite dilated with a deranged madness. Goddamn that demon, Shaking his head, his pupils slowly decreased in size. Demons.
As soon as Gabriel shifts again, the creature on the ceiling shifts, the shadows dispelling, revealing a thing with scaly wings. Long tendrils seem to wrap around it again and again, in an infinite spiral of scales and flesh and pulsating demonic power.
Then it drops from the ceiling, uncurling aforementioned tendrils into tails and tentacles, making a wet, grinding plop noise as it does all this.
"Îhłńøçk døfråm ûñdêøg åhkåñ?" it asks, not realising that maybe Gabriel couldn't speak whatever hellish language was slithering out of his mouth.
Gabriel whipped his head around, his body tensing and locking in place. What the fuck was this creature? Gabriel did not know. “Wha-what the fuck are you?” His voice trembled, fear tensing his muscles. He took a shaky breath, getting lightheaded with every small shudder. What do I do? Great question, Gabriel. Great question. As of now, it was between passing out or passing out. The harsh language reached his ears and his face turned sour. He didn’t understand. “Wha-what?”
The creature - Nyx, seems to sigh.
It then draws itself up, shifting into the vague silthouette of an obscenely tall man before completeing the transformation.
"A demon lord. Any more dumb questions?" he snarks.
Gabriel shook his head, his body unlocking from it's springs. He could not account for his scattered mind, as it did not recognize many after being wiped of everything it knew. Sweat beaded on his forehead, matting his hair down on his head. He did not like the feeling, but could not complain. "Er… I would ask, but I don't think I want to. Not at this current moment." Gabriel blinked, his caramel eyes still holding his fear that had passed. Confusion had replaced that fear, ruining his beautiful eyes with its unknown mockery. "I just need something to do. Yes! Something to do. It may help me clear my mind." He laughed nervously.
"Good." Nyx replies cheerfully.
"Mmmm. . . follow me." he smiles, snapping open a swirling portal, otherwordly moans trickling through like molasses.
Gabriel stared at the portal, the ghostly moan reaching his ears. It unnerved him. The warlock no longer held his calloused nature nor his blatant disregard for fear and death. Taking away one’s life experiences changed them drastically. “Er, I don't know If I truly want to follow, but I guess I must.” He hesitated before creeping closer to the portal. Many tingles in his body and the twitch of his muscles tried to warn him, but Gabriel did not listen per usual.
"Correct, you don't have a choice." Nyx laughs, pushing Gabriel through, following after him.
They appear right in the middle of London, outside of traffic.
"This is where our crusade of blood starts." he says, looking around.
Gabriel sighed. He was quite aware of his autonomy being taken away by the strange demon lord. He was still not too sure how he met the lord, but he didn't have much to question at the moment. Once pushed through the portal, his eyes were worn with annoyance. Looking around, once could recognize the middle of London with its high traffic and crowds of people. Curious. " Why are we starting here? There are other great places to start. The middle of London seems boring."
"Yes, it seems boring, but do you see al the horse drawn carriages? Those will be our starting point. Crash those, and the whole system breaks down into chaos. Especially if said horses don't immediately die from being knocked flat." Nyx snickers.
"Uh-huh." Gabriel rolled his eyes, waving his hand and producing a haladie. "And what about this is better than just attacking straight forward? It may cause a traffic jam, but not a bloodbath." He did not understand that demon lord's plans, nor his idea of a blood crusade. Gabriel moved closer to Nyx, his face twisting and scrunching up. "I hate the smell of this city. It is horrible." He reached one side of his haladie out towards a horse, slashing it along the shoulder. The animal groaned in pain, rearing up and running around the street ragged. "What will this butterfly effect do?" Gabriel was nearly clinging onto Nyx, smiling at the blood he’d drawn and the animal that had lost control.
"Pandemonium. It is the begginings of fear, of rage, of unadulterated and raw primal instinct. We unleash Pandemonium, we can control the flow of the death." Nyx explains, smiling down at Gabriel as he starts the domino effect of Pandemonium.
"Nicely done."
Gabriel studied the bloodied haladie, the blood burning off of the blade and turning into perpetual tendrils of shadow. The black and purple curved blades were populated with demonic rune-like symbols, giving the haladie imperial abilities that strengthened Gabriel’s. These symbols were a mystery to him. The hilt conjoining both blades to the center was a polished chunk of oak wood reinforced with iron. Panning his amber eyes to Nyx, he smiled at the small praise given by the demon lord. “Pandemonium… we can burn this plane of existence in the fires of pandemonium.” He turned his attention to the chaos unfolding before them. The horse-drawn carriage trampled others, scaring and bringing pain to other horses. It was an agitated state of hysterics. Carriages and horses fell like dominoes, many of the giant animals loosening themselves from the broken carriages. Pools of blood started to flow as the horse trampled over people trapped by the carriages. “I am not a broker of souls. I don’t make deals with them, only take them to appease the larger force.”
