Gabriel froze in his movements. His face? “Errr, I’m just embarrassed, okay.” He sat on the bed, not sure what he could do. The first thought that popped into his head was escaping, but he could catch a cold. “I’m embarrassed that I keep clinging to you. I barely know you.” He shrugged, looking up at the ceiling. There were odd markings which he recognized, but could place a name to them. “What’s with all the sigils all over the place?”

Deleted user

"And how do you think it makes the demon feel?" Nyx asks.

"The sigils are protections and portals." he says simply.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel stayed silent, swinging his legs. “I don’t know how you’d feel.” He muttered, taking his eyes off the red symbols on the ceiling. Kinda weird for a demon to have protection sigils. “Why do you need protection sigils? I wouldn’t think you’d need those.” Gabriel got off the bed, eyeing the door. “Thank you for nursing me back heath, sir.”” Maybe he could get out of serving the demon as a thrall. But, in the back of Gabriel’s mind, a voice spoke. I told him that Nyx was the safest thing. I told him that demon could help him. He coughed, clearing his throat. “Is there something we should be doing?”

Deleted user

"True. The demon doesn't feel much. I just thought I'd make you think." Nyx sighs.

"Well, demon lords are a very targeted group. Especially ones who overthrow the entirety of hell's monarchy and takes over, killing every single powerful demon prince and the entire caste of Ars Goetia. Well, besides Lucifer, but that's simply because I find him amusing." he smirks.

A black and red wall of force goes up in front of the door with a negligent twitch of Nyx's fingers.

"You'll be staying here."

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel nodded as if he knew what Nyx was talking about. He barely understood much of what the demon muttered. "I'd expect that. You guys don't feel much, do you?" A small smile pulled at the corner of Gabriel's mouth but disappeared quickly before the demon could notice. "So, you decided to uproot an entire government system, risk getting murdered, and fled to earth only to tend to a random warlock from the London area. You're strange. I would not do that in a million years." He looked back up at the ceiling. "And you might want to fix those sigils. They're fading. Or at least draw new ones, I don't think these will work for long." He flicked his eyes over to the door and audibly gulped. That was… concerning. So was now trapped here against his will. "Okay then.."

Deleted user

"Besides rage, pleasure and hate? No, not really." Nyx grins.

"Correction: I didn't flee, I'm here to destroy everything, and you're the one who'll help." he corrects.

Nyx waves a hand, the symbols scrubbed away with magic, replaced by far more sinister sigils, the aura of fear and pain surrounding them thick enough to see and smell. "Now nothing can find us, and if it does. . . well, I can kill it."

"Indeed!" he says brightly.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel placed his hands in his lap. He didn't want to be stuck here the rest of his somewhat immortal life. "Two of those are quite similar… but I suppose you've never felt happiness or something similar." He shook his head, wondering if he could make the demon feel something. "How can I help destroy everything? I am not a demon nor under your legion. There is nothing I can give you to help. Why me?" Gabriel laid on his bed, wrapping the sheets around his body. He watched the sigils turn from pale black to a glittery red. "Good to know. I don't want to be killed because of your deeds."

Deleted user

"Oh, I feel joy when I'm tearing people apart. But mostly, anger." Nyx shrugs.

"What is the name of the demon who gave your family its demonic powers?" he sighs.

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that. I'll eventually kill you myself." Nyx replies.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel went silent. He didn’t want to be torn apart by this demon lord. He didn’t want to be a slave to this demon lord. He pulled the sheets over his head. “Don’t tear me apart, please. I don’t want to die.” He whined. He poked his head out from under the sheets, staring at the demon standing over the side of his bed. He looked menacing as if he was going to do something unspeakable to Gabriel. Truth be told, he already had. “I don’t know. I don’t know the demon’s name. I don’t remember. I think it started with an A.” Fear twisted Gabriel’s face, leaving it scarred and messy. He seemed like a scared child that needed to be soothed.

"Oh, you won't get torn apart. Not for a while, at least." Nyx says casually.

"Azathoth? Azazel? Aramachiel? Adramach? Asterion? Aderoth?" he lists.

Pausing, the demon lord looks confused. He seems so helpless. . . but what do I do? I'm a demon lord, and he's my servant. It isn't a romance, I am not his father. But maybe he needs me to be? No, that's preposterous.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel let out a soft whine as he placed his head on the pillow. “That's quite reassuring, thank you.” He mutters snippily. He wanted to be left alone, but it would never happen with the demon here. He wanted someone to take care of him and tell him it was alright. But from the vague memories he had, he knew his life was never that tender. “Asterion rings a few bells, but it doesn’t sound right. Something about that name is off.” Gabriel continued to ramble about how off the name was. He seemed concerned, almost worried by the fact every name is spoken or word mutter stemmed off. He suddenly sprang out of his bed, pushing past the demon to grab a grimoire from the bookshelves. He flipped through the yellowed pages, looking carefully at the names. “That one!” He shouted. “It was that one.” He held the book up for Nyx to see the drawing. The demon had a sinister look shrouded in a cloud of black.

"It wasn't meant to be." Nyx snorts.

"Hmmm. . . that is Astaroth. A name I have not heard or seen in quite some time. A very powerful demon indeed." he chuckles.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel closed the book, placing it on the desk of scattered paper and murder plans. He stared at the demon with worry in his eyes after figuring out who the demon that had acquired his soul was. He still remembered that. "You're telling me that is the one I remember? I don't understand why any demon would want to mess with me." His voice sounded defeated, and he slumped against the desk. His head spun. Gabriel wasn't sure what to do with this information. He looked to Nyx for help.

Nyx raises an eybrow, pointing to himself.

When Gabriel slumps, some instinct of Nyx's takes over, catching him.

This also confuses the demon. He has no such instincts.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel stared at Nyx, his vision wavering. The demon pointing to himself was odd to the helpless warlock as if Nyx couldn't tell Gabriel was begging him for help. But demons were also tricksters who acted blind until their prey fell. There was a sense of attachment to the demon. The warlock couldn't tell why it was there. He had woken today to find Nyx standing at his bedside, lacking the memory to know why he was there. Nyx claimed to have nursed Gabriel back to health in his home. A demon's home? Preposterous. But, he felt the cold, gruff hands that belonged to the demon wrap around him. Curious. Nyx had come to his assistance. He laid his head against Nyx's arm. Gabriel’s blonde hair worked its way into covering his eyes. The scene itself looked like a painting from the renaissance period of humanity.

Gabriel had no idea why identifying the demon brought him anguish. Something told him Astaroth wasn’t done with him. A deep pain in his chest made him whimper. He hated being the toy to multiple demons. But one of those demons had reign over his soul, the other did not.

Deleted user

Nyx sighs, his own hair falling to cover his eyes.

Curious. I shouldn't have grabbed him, and yet I did. What purpose do these instincts have in the body of a killer?

With not even a huff of exertion, he picks up Gabriel and places him in bed.

"Rest for a while longer, I suppose. After you're well rested, we can start on the process of slaughtering this world."

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel groans, clinging to Nyx. He didn’t want to be placed in bed. He didn’t need rest. Once placed in bed, he got right back out. “I don’t need any more rest. I am perfectly fine enough, thank you very much. We can start that process right now.” He stared into Nyx's eyes, a sternness in his own. “I only rest when I’m dying or injured.” Although, something felt like it was crushing an invisible force in his chest, but he wouldn't show.

Deleted user

Nyx's eyes narrow.

"Are you disobeying your master?" he asks, raising one hand and examining his nails. A faint thrum of power, like the buzz of a hornet's wings, resonates through the room as a staticky black nimbus appears around his hand.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel nodded, pushing past Nyx. The warlock was both mentally and physically taxed, but wouldn't mention anything about it. He trudged over to the desk, looking throw the books and papers. "I am disobeying you. I don't need rest, sir. I am alright, I promise you. Please don't force me to rest." Turning to face Nyx, he froze at the sight of the magic. All color drained from his face. "What are you doing there, sir?"

Deleted user

"You need rest, Gabriel. I can't have my servant getting in my way due to sheer tiredness. It give me a bad look, y'know?" Nyx hums.

"Nothing, as long as you get back into bed." the demon replies.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel frowned, leaning his body against the desk. This was preposterous. He had already rested for a day. How much more could he need? "But sir, I have already laid in bed for who knows how long. I shouldn't be tired. I won't get in your way, I swear! There is residue of exhaustion in my eyes." The whites of his eyes had a tinge of red. Deep, red circles took up residence under his eyes. But in fear of having the demon's magic used on him, he slunk back into the bedroom, plopping on the bed. "I find this to be absurd."

Deleted user

"My dear servant, you are tired anyways." Nyx huffs.

"And I find you to be absurd, but I have use for you anyways." the demon shrugs, the nimbus disappearing.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Gabriel turns away from Nyx, reluctant to settle into the bed further. “I told you, I am not tired. I had adequate rest the other day.” He stifled a yawn. “I didn't collapse because I was tired, it was because of the pain. The pain made me fall and it's still there… as if a clawed hand was crushing my chest.” He whispered, finally pulling a blanket over his shoulders. The warlock’s breathing slowed but became ragged. He fell asleep despite his claims, proving Nyx right. Gabriel was tried and he consumed more energy prancing around.

(EEEEEEEE SORRY!)

Nyx snorts with laughter, watch Gabriel fall asleep.

To ensure he stays asleep long enough to be properly useful, he places a spell that forces him to sleep until he's caught up on his lost sleep.

Meaning they may be there for a long time while his servant naps.
