He snorted.

"What?" Nathaniel crossed his arms and huffed indignantly.

He shook his head. "You're tiny, and a cripple."

"Shut up!" Nathaniel bristled, his crumpled wings puffing up.

He shook his head again.

"I'm still perfectly capable of doing most things! Just because I can't fly doesn't mean I couldn't be king!"

He snorted. "Yeah, sure."

Nathaniel hopped to his feet and glared up at Anton, still bristling. "I'd make a better king than you ever will!"

Anton cocked his head. "Says who? You?"

"Yes! And technically, I'm above you." Nathaniel crossed his arms and huffed.

"Ah? Is that so, shorty?"

Nathaniel flushed a bit and glared at Anton. "I'm not that short!"

"You're tiny." he replied, shaking his head a little.

Nathaniel gritted his teeth and clenched his hands into fists, clearly pissed, but knowing better than to start fighting. Especially in a hospital room.

"Tiny, and never going to be king."

"You'll never be the real king! You'll always be less than Lloyd! You're never going to have as much power, or be as important, and you sure as hell aren't going to be as liked by the public!"

He laughed a little bit. "I don't need to be on Lloyd's level, Nathaniel. Don't you understand that? I'll still have more power than Everyone else."

"You don't deserve power." Nathaniel kept glaring up at Anton, clearly not afraid of him. "People like you should never get here."

"People like me? And what, you think it should be someone like Ellis? A disgusting, slutty little half-breed?"

"He deserves it more than you." Nathaniel crossed his arms and folded his crumpled wings.

"He Deserves it? You don't know him like I do. You don't know the things he's done like I do."

"Like what? Doing all your chores for you? Getting treated like shit?" Nathaniel gasped mockingly. "How scandalous of him."

He scoffed, shaking his head. "You're what, eight? I'm not getting into the details with a child!"
