@Fraust
"Is there… um… anything that you want to know about me?" He asked.
"Is there… um… anything that you want to know about me?" He asked.
"Well…" he ran a hand through his hair. "I don't know."
Lloyd nodded and sat awkwardly in silence for a bit. "What's life like for you outside this place?"
"It's…I don't know, it's rather the same, actually. At least for me." he shrugged his shoulders.
Lloyd nodded again. "Ellis says it's very different for him…" He said softly.
He frowned a little bit, letting out a faint, sharp breath. "Of course he did. He's not nobility."
"Naturally… it's… interesting to hear what life is like from a different perspective, hmm?"
He shrugged. "Sometimes, I suppose."
(It could be interesting if Anton starts trying to forbid Lloyd and Ellis from communicating lol)
"I don't get to speak to people outside of nobility, usually. I mean, obviously I speak to the servants here, but most of them have been here for years."
(ooh yes! And starts giving Ellis like a ton of extra work to keep him busy and stuff. Especially because he's done some…pretty terrible things to Ellis, and obviously wouldn't want his fiance/the prince finding out)
Anton nodded a little bit. "…yeah, I can see how a different point of view would be interesting to hear, though it isn't always useful."
(Ye)
Lloyd shrugged. "I find it useful. It lets me know what it's like for my people, and knowing that can help me know what to do to improve their conditions."
Anton frowned slightly. "Maybe so…but still." he shrugged a little.
"You have to think big picture when you're in my position. If the people aren't happy, they'll revolt, Anton. My father's doing a good job, and yet, people still try to assassinate me. Any and all information about the happiness of the people is important."
Anton nodded. "Yes, but…i don't think Ellis is the greatest choice."
"Why not? He's a person, and he lived outside of nobility. I find his insight very informative."
"He's…sheltered." he replied slowly. "I mean…hell, he was practically raised on my family's property, he's not going ot be very knowledgeable about the rest of the world."
"Well, he does shopping and work and such, does he not? If you're in nobility, I doubt you're doing such things yourself."
"I don't. I am only saying that…if you want a better point of view, he's got a very narrow worldview."
(anton just over here lying through his teeth lmao)
(Lmao yeah. Anton strikes me as a guy who would become abusive to everyone he gets close to)
"I doubt that… he's been very helpful and informative. Maybe he knows more about the world than you think."
(Yeah, he is, except for his father and brother)
Anton shrugged slightly. "Or he's just lying because he thinks he'll get more attention that way." he replied, looking at his hands.
(Ooo we could make him like, threaten Lloyd at some point because we know he's gonna keep trying to talk to Ellis)
"He doesn't seem to be the attention seeking type to me… and he hasn't really said anything that would be worth lying about."
(i…don't think he would really do that, though it's quite possible that he might get a little bit "you really should stop talking to him" and defensive and stuff)
Anton shrugged. "That kid lies about plenty of stuff to get out of doing any real work. I wouldn't put it past him to lie to you."
(Yeah)
"He's been working very hard from what I can tell. I don't know what would have caused such a dramatic personality change if he were so lazy with you."
Anton shook his head, rolling his eyes a little bit. "Change of place?" he snorted softly. "How should I know?"
"Hmm… how often do you speak with Ellis aside from giving orders? I find casual conversations to be very informative."
