“Hm?” He looked up from where he’d been staring at his feet, kind of daydreaming. “Oh I’m fine, just had some weird dreams last night.” He said.
“Hm?” He looked up from where he’d been staring at his feet, kind of daydreaming. “Oh I’m fine, just had some weird dreams last night.” He said.
(Those weren’t dreams honey… also Swim what in the heck. Not judging but what.)
Astral tilted his head a bit, as if curious. He fell for it.
"Oh?" he said, opening the door to the kitchen. "Might I ask what they were about?" Astral wanted to know what Simon thought of what he had done to the other.
(I know. Dear god I know. I hate this god so much, but he need development and I'm in a place to where I could actually handle the gore)
(That’s valid)
He shrugged. “Pretty disturbing honestly..” He said going and sitting down at the counter where he’d sat yesterday. “You were in it too.” He couldn’t help but shudder a bit as he recalled the events.
"Really?' Astral sat down as well. He'd set up different kinds of food- no human today, though, just normal sausages with pancakes, eggs, toast, and other things like that.
"What did I do?"
He started eating slowly, not wanting to take too much. “Um well..” he tried to think about where to start, and then decided to just go in chronological order. He gave a pretty accurate description about what had happened. He even included the part where Astral had misgendered him purposely, but he didn’t go into many details about that particular situation besides just that. After that, his details on everything started getting less specific, as he found himself wanting to talk about it less and less.
Astral widened his eyes as Simon spoke. He was was giving a pretty good retelling. He set his silverware down, looking a bit shocked by his actions in the 'dream.'
"I…" I love how detailed you were. "You- you don't have to keep going," he said when Simon started trailing off. "I just- that was really dark…" Astral shivered his body a bit.
He hadn’t even thought about how his retelling would disturb Astral. Whenever he was talking about something disturbing, he tended to go into a factual level of detail so he wouldn’t be able to remember that it was something that happened to him and had hurt him. “Oh, I’m so sorry, it was probably weird to talk about it that much huh? S-sorry.”
"No, no, it's just- there was a lot that happened, huh? You don't need to apologize." Astral was still looking at Simon, letting out a soft breath. He didn't like this, he didn't like treating this human as an equal, but it was necessary.
He nodded, mumbling another quiet sorry. “Anyway, it’s okay, I get a lot of really disturbing dreams, though that was probably the most graphic and most violent one.”
That worked in Astral's favor, thank goodness.
"I see… hopefully you won't have anymore like that." Lies, lies, lies everywhere it seemed. Astral put a pancake on his plate. Perhaps he should try sociological torture, then… it'd never been his style, but it could be interesting.
“Mhm.” He nodded in agreement, quietly continuing to eat his food. “So…what are we going to do with the rest of the day?” He asked, briefly looking up at the other.
"Well," Astral said, cutting into his food, unable to think about how it had felt to cut into Simon's body. "I'm not entirely sure. I have some work I need to do, but I usually don't do much with others." Except torture them until their mind shattered and they were turned into trinkets.
He nodded. “I don’t mind just hanging around. If it’s alright with you, I’ll probably just wander around.” Having time to process this new change in his life would be good for him.
Astral looked up from his food.
"Alright, then. And don't worry about accidently breaking anything while you look around." Astral hoped it would happen, even. He'd broken many a soul so much they craved his touch, his punishments. Depriving them of this was nice, yes, but it would be so much more delicious if his new toy was the one to hurt them instead.
Simon thought this was a bit of a weird thing for Astral to say but he didn’t question it, merely nodding. He’d just about finished eating, but was trying to psyche himself up into finishing what he had left on his plate.
Astral saw the way Simon was struggling to eat his food. Soon, in turn, he left some food on his own plate, standing up. He moved over to the trash can, scrapping the food in.
Simon observed this, and then felt a little less bad when he could only manage to eat a few more bites before his mind started to scream that he was being greedy and taking too much.
Astral washed his plate up a bit and put it out to dry. He walked past Simon, lightly patting his shoulder.
"If you need me, I'll be in my workshop," he said with a smile. He had actual work to do now.
“O-okay!” He said, offering the other a small smile. He watched the other leave before standing up, washing his plate off.
Astral passed through the living room, pausing. He picked up one of the trinkets there- it was an older one, of the first he broke. He needed something to mess with while he worked, and Simon was out of the question. So, as he made his way into his work room, the trinket morphed into a small human in his hand, and then the door was closed.
Simon didn’t see anything unusual happen, his back already turned at that point. He hummed softly to himself as he finished cleaning up after himself, having decided that he didn’t like the silence. Whenever Astral wasn’t around he constantly felt like something was watching him.
That's because there was, hundreds of trinkets or just small little decorations, all of the jealous, all of them hating Simon for taking their place. Just what would happen if they could move, if they could tell Simon what was in store for him? They were most everywhere, and it truly wouldn't be hard to accidently break one.
