”I might take you up on that offer tomorrow ;)”
Cairo was more than a little excited, maybe aroused? He didn’t know. It was already one thing kissing Casey earlier but now, he was inviting him to sleep with him… he had no idea what had happened, but he sure as hell wasn’t going to start complaining. After all, it wasn’t everyday he’d get the chance to talk with someone with the same kind of mind.
”Sorry to break the fun love, but I need to go back to working. Maybe we can talk another time?Maybe even tomorrow? I’m sure we have a lot to talk about ;). Anyways, I’ll be there tomorrow, okay? Still need to get that elite account going after all,”
(Me : …the sexual tension between these two is killing me)
(Also, time skip? and if we’re gonna write ‘the scenes’, I should probably open a DM for us lol)
(lol sure)
"Yeah, we are not being very productive here, but I will see you tomorrow <3"
He typed back before turning off his computer.
(Alrighty. I just have a feeling the children shouldn’t see what we might write lol)
After Cairo noticed that Casey’s connection had gone offline, he had taken it into his hands to delete their conversation on the space as those who were talented with coding could potentially come across this conversation and it wasn’t going to look so good on his profile.
For the rest of the day, up until one in the morning, Cairo was sat keeping track of the traffic in the websites owned by the government. He was sad to see that the numbers had reached 140,00 by the end of the first day. It was sure to go up again and again… that was a lot of people who were going to just disappear all of the sudden.
When the next day came around, Cairo didn’t want to waste anytime. As the first train arrived and started running at six, he, too, got on. Seven stations and twenty minutes later, he arrived at the area where Casey was. He stood at the other man’s door, slightly nervous as the things he had brought with him in his messenger bag weren’t exactly something he should be carrying around. At least, apart from his phone and wallet. Either way, he rang the bell, hoping Casey was already awake.
Casey, who had went to bed shortly after disconnecting, had been awake for about three hours. Once he heard the bell ring, he picked up his coffee and walked to the door, opening it he smiled as he took a sip from his coffee, "Good morning,"
After Casey had taken the sip of coffee he probably needed, Cairo had stepped forward and leaned down to kiss him on the lips, not hesitating for one second. He stayed there for a little more than ten seconds before pulling away with a soft smile. “Good morning. I’ve brought what you asked me to. Both for work and…” he cleared his throat, opening his messenger bag to show Casey what he had in it; his phone, his wallet, his badge, a USB, a small notebook and pen, handcuffs, a collar with a lead, and a plastic box that he shyly bought at the convenience store before he went to bed last night. He was clearly a bit embarrassed. Even then, his cheeky grin remained though his eyes were softened.
Casey looked in the bag and blushed slightly before taking a step back so that Cairo could come in, "I see, good…good" He said silently dying from the fact that he had no idea what to say to this. He set his coffee down, it had only a little bit left, and he never drank the bottom of it.
Cairo stepped in and allowed Casey to close the door. After he did so, though, the officer had sighed softly and took out the USB, setting it down near Casey’s laptop.
“It is around meal time,” Cairo mentioned, turning to the other man with a cheeky grin before he walked towards him. “You wanted breakfast in bed, no?”
“Well, guess I should show you where the bed is, so I can have my breakfast” he smirked, grabbing Cairo’a hand and leading him to the bedroom.
“My, well aren’t you an explicit one,” Cairo laughed softly, allowing himself to be dragged along. “Before anything else, how far are we going with this?” He asked as they entered the other man’s bedroom.
"how far do you want to go" He said with a wink before kissing Cairo lightly on the lips.
“As far as you will allow me to,” Cairo replied, smiling warmly as he pushed the other man down onto the bed, hovering above him. He took ahold of both of the other’s wrists, pinning him down onto the bed as he grinned, his cheeks red as a tomato. “Tell me, Casey…” he leaned down slightly, gently nibbling on the other’s earlobe “…what do you want from me right now?”
(We are heading to the DMs for a bit people! XD)
(And we back!)
After cleaning up, Cairo had made himself a cup of coffee using what Casey had in his home.
“Right so… what first? Reading through what you found yesterday or accessing the locked files?”
Casey grabbed the coffee from Cairo, taking a sip before handing it back, "well I didn't find anything that useful in what I found, so accessing the locked files would be much better" he said before walking to his work room.
Cairo nodded as he followed Casey into the room. “I got the elite account profile from one of the old hags who should probably be retired by now but isn’t. I swear if it wasn’t for the copious amount of money they get, they wouldn’t do anything like this ever,” he sighed, setting the notebook he had down where the account name and password was present.
Casey sat down in his chair and turned on both of his computers. He opened up the site, jumping over a few firewalls before getting to the login point. He paused, “is there any chance that this password won’t work?” He asked Cairo, concerned that if it failed, then they could easily get caught.
“There is always a chance, but the system doesn’t recognize it. Remember, most of the elites are old hags who are just there to get more money for their retirement. More likely than not, some don’t even remember their password so… yeah. We don’t have to worry about getting caught. Wrong passwords being inputted happens all the time,” Cairo mentioned, sitting down beside Casey.
Casey nodded, "just wanted to make sure" he said before typing in the password, which he did correctly. He opened one of the locked files.
Accessing that certain file, Casey and Cairo would be met with what looked like a PDF file of… some sort of blueprint. It looked like the layout of a building, a single floor of a building. Or a room, even. Certain things about the room in the blueprint, though, didn’t sit right.
“Cameras everywhere… and why is there a stage in the front like that,” Cairo murmured, noticing the strange layout of the room. There was indeed a stage in front of the room where everyone who entered the room could see. On the side were card designs that looked… weird. There were Roman numerals, one to thirteen, that were separated by the symbols of Dove, Crow, Swan, and Raven, amounting to a total of fifty two cards per deck.
“They look like… playing cards?”
“Playing cards…what are they going to do play poker with the people as bids?” He muttered randomly. “You think this is the underground place?” He asked.
(I—How…)
“It’s possible…” Cairo murmured, scanning through the rest of the PDF before he pointed to a certain piece of text which read as ”All usual Texas Hold ‘em rules apply. Twenty four rounds per game. Three games per day.”
“You’re a psychic Casey,” he murmured with a small smile. “Right so this is probably the gambling room or something similar… those elites are crazy,”
"wait- they are actually going to do that!?" Casey said with wide eyes, "I was just joking, but like- on some level it makes sense." He shrugged.
( I AM A PSYCHIC!! XD lol that is just the first thing that popped into mind, prolly cuz I play poker way to much)
“That’s disgusting…” Cairo murmured, a frown on his lips. “It’s like they’re going to separate the people into different sectors and numbers depending on what the Poker game results are,” he sighed softly. “Next file?” He asked, pointing to the one named ‘RoomA1.PDF’.
Casey nodded, moving on to the next PDF. "that is inhuman"
The PDF file of Room A1 showed a large hall with air conditioning units, a long conveyer belt stretching across the area of the room. The name of the room, on the uppermost part of the file, was ‘Hot Potato’.
There showed, on the ‘start’ point of the conveyer belt, a basketball sized sphere along with the word ‘Boom!’ beside it. There was some text to the side of the room layout.
”Sixty players spread across the room. Choose to move the ‘bomb’ between two to twelve spaces. When the ‘bomb’ beeps, disqualify the player in front of and to the sides of said player. Total disqualifications per round: three. Play until forty-five players remain.”
"what do they mean by disqualify?" Casey said worried, "I mean, I have heard of that game before, but…with people?" He shook his head.
