His body locked up at her touch, but he made a valiant effort to not show it. A slow grin spread over his lips. "Sure," he said, not believing her excuse.

"W-What? I-it…." she looked down, sighing softly, "It's true" she muttered, looking back up at him when she spoke. Something was different tonight, but she couldn't put her finger on it, maybe it was the air.
His eyes flickered beneath the contacts, and he slung an arm around her shoulders and directed her to the cashier, chuckling. "Let's hope you at least have enough sense to count money." The two tubs of ice cream were numbing his fingers, but he didn't mind as the smell of her shampoo floated towards him.
"Lemme grab one" she hummed, reaching across him to snatch a tub of ice cream. She pulled out her wallet, placing the tub out onto the counter and fumbling with her wallet to try and find her credit card, once again like the ice cream, passing over it multiple times. She was completely out of it. She bit her lip, her brow furrowing softly as she continued her search.
"Audry," he said with a hint of amusement as he plucked the credit card from her wallet. He handed it to her with a flourish. "M'lady."
She elbowed him gently in the stomach, snatching the credit card from him and swiping it through the card machine. They were soon out of there and in the car, "It's snowing" she muttered, looking up at the white flakes, tumbling out of the sky.
Wolf looked up as well, blinking one eye as a flake had landed in it before he got in. "So it seems. I might just stay over after all." A lame excuse to stay over, but all well. Cinthia didn't really care either way, as long as he didn't somehow get himself killed or done something incredibly stupid that involves her bailing him out.
“Possibly” she replied, her body tensing at the thought. With the way everything was happening tonight, all the weird stuff and such. She wasn’t going to lie, it was very nice… and it was… making her feel… shit, get your mind out of the gutter Audry she muttered to herself, not knowing she had said it out loud.
Wolf tilted his head again, looking over to her with a grin on his face. "Ahh. So there is something on your mind."
“What? What are you talking about?” She asked, oblivious the fact that she had said it out loud.
His eyes bore into hers as he said slowly, amusement lighting them up, "Get your mind out of the gutter Audry."
Her cheeks burned, “What!?” She yelled, looking up at him immediately. She hadn’t meant to say it out loud.
His eyes held immense amusement behind the contacts. "I do believe that was what you said, Dri. Would you mind telling me what, exactly, is running through that wise brain of yours?" He gasped and clapped his hands dramatically, eyes going wide. "You have a crush!"

“Who do you think that’d be?” She asked, stepping into the car and slamming her door shut, her face now firetruck red.

(Alright, just respond when you can)
He blinked in confusion. What the hell just happened? Did I do something? He hesitantly got in as well, but kept one leg out and the door open just in case she kicked him out. "Dri? I was just kidding. I'm sorry."
She covered her face, almost groaning in embarrassment, “No, no you’re fine… It’s just… everything is so weird tonight” she replied, fiddling with the strings on her hoodie. The lights assumed their position, dancing in her eyes and on her face once she had moved her hands.
He swallowed and slowly settled in his seat, closing the door. She was right, it was weird tonight. There was a weird tension between the two of them, and somehow Wolf found it hard to keep his eyes off of her tonight. He had done so well over the three and a half years. What had changed tonight?
“It feels like some sort of tension” she replied, running her hands through her hair, biting her lip and sighing softly.
"Yeah," Wolf croaked out, finding it difficult to talk while he stared at her. His eyes flicked down to her lips when she bit it, then he dragged them back up to her eyes.
She let her hand fall to her lap, glancing over at him without turning her head. She laughed softly, “what’re you looking at?” She laughed softly while shaking her head softly
"You," he said simply, then let a fake smirk cover up his near slip up. "There's really nothing else here to look at, unless you like lights and buttons."
She scoffed slightly, her blush deepening. “You like someone?” She asked, knowing they hadn’t had this conversation before in their entire friendship.
He tilted his head, thinking over his answer carefully. "There was this one girl…" he started, gauging her reaction before continuing.
