Janet's smile grew into a giggle. After a couple of seconds, she stopped giggling. "I don't mind at all, so go ahead." She said softly, looking up into Axel's eyes. She noticed his eagerness and excitement, and how could she turn that down? She hadn't seen him that excited yet that day and it excited her as well.
Scooping her up bridal style, he was careful where he supported her. One hand under the pit of her knees, and one on her mid-back. "Alright, hold on and we'll be there in no time!" He chirped, leading her out of the park at a decently quick pace. He wasn't running, but he wasn't strolling either. He was determined to get there at a decent time, so if they wanted to do anything else after, they had time.
Janet's smile brightened as they continued out of the park. Her arm that wasn't already around Axel's neck, slug around it and her head rested on his chest. Literally the last time she'd been carried like this was when she was seven or eight years old and she fell asleep on the couch. Not that it was common to be carried in bridal style thought, so it made sense.
Smiling, he carried her out of the park and down a small back road. "I normally don't come down this road, but the guys who watch this turf aren't out on weekends." He mumbled to himself, quickly making his way through the shortcut. Even if he was positive, no one person would want to stay there for too long. Just in case.
Janet carefully watched as they went by buildings and people, not just in the back road, she just liked seeing everything even if she's seen a majority of it for many years. She just listened to Axel, not really feeling the need to say anything and just enjoying his voice. She was definitely interested to see where they were going, but with how fast Axel was going it didn't seem like it would take that long.
"For the next bit, I'll need you to walk." He said softly, setting her down on the solid ground. "Otherwise I'd carry you the whole way." Chuckling, he mindlessly pecked her cheek and took her hand to lead her onwards. "How bad does it bother you to get sand in your shoes?" He asked, glancing down to her skirt, noticing she had on nicer shoes.
Janet's face turned fire engine red, definitely not expecting the kiss on the cheek. She looked down and to the side a little in an attempt to hide her redness. After a few breaths, she mustered up the confidence to look back up and answer Axel. "Uh, I could… um, I can uh… they're easy to just, um, slip off." She said softly. She took another deep breath and turned her head to Axel sending a small and soft smile, feeling her face a little cooler.
"Then you might want to, just a suggestion." He smiled, just as bright as before. "It's a nice-enough day, so the sand shouldn't be too hot. You can walk barefooted, without scorching your feet." He continued to mumbled the same thing over and over. "You need some help?" He offered, after he stopped mumbling.
"Ah, I don't think so, thank you though." Janet smiled, then she lifted a foot up behind her and took one shoe off, then the other. Holding Axel's hand in one and holding her shoes in the other. It was the perfect day. And even if the sand was warm, it would be great. She hadn't been to a beach or anything in a while.
"Well, I'm assuming you figured out where we're going." He chuckled, leading her around the narrow building. "Welcome to what I call, Peeks Beach." He hummed, coming out onto a small rock enclosure, with teal blue water. The beach was small, and almost no one was on it. A few birds here and there, but only one man down on the end of the beach was there for human contact.
Janet's eyes widened slightly at the sight of the beach, it was beautiful. Her feet squished in the sand and it felt just as amazing as the beach looked. It was calming and peaceful and she loved it here just as much as the park. "This is perfect… thanks for bringing me here." She said in a whisper, feeling like she shouldn't break the silence just like at the park.
"Of course gorgeous," He smiled, leading her down the beach to the shore. Sitting down on the sand, he looked up to her. "It's a lovely day, perfect for swimming. Only if you like to of course." He hummed, turning his blue gaze back out to the ocean. The waves rolled in with white seafoam, and with blue green waters.
Janet smiled, sitting down right next to Axel, similar to the park. The sand was honestly more comfortable than the grass, it was nice. "That sounds wonderful. If we do though, it would have to be towards the end of the day so I wouldn't have to deal with a wet dress all-day." She explained softly. Her head rested on his shoulder as she looked out into the ocean as well. It wasn't often that she went to the beach, so this was quite a treat.
"We could always stop by your house, or even mine, to get you some dry clothes." He offered, scooting closer to her. His heart skipped a beat, and his smile only kept growing. "I'm sure my little sis wouldn't mind sharing."'Especially if she thinks I have a crush on the girl… who am I kidding, especially if she finds out.' He snickered at himself, laying back on the sand.
"Well, in that case, we should soon then!" Janet said excitedly. However, she made no move to get up, in fact, she lied back on the sand as well, scooting up right next to Axel. Her head rested on his shoulder and chest and she ended up closing her eyes. She honestly couldn't imagine a better way to spend her day. Yes, her friends were fun, but it was really great to spend her time with someone new, especially since she was getting feelings for this man.
"Well if you want to go swim, then we should probably get up." Teasingly, Axel smiled at her, before relaxing back into the sand. He wasn't moving either. He was happy, and calmed by the sound of the waves rolling in. Birds squawked above them, flying in circles over the sand. "I think we should also build a sand castle." He mumbled, massaging her shoulder.
Janet giggled a little, opening her eyes and smiling. "Yeah, that sounds fun! I haven't built one in forever. Maybe in a little bit though, this is really nice." Janet said in a whisper, relaxing a bit more into Axel.
Pulling her closer, he rested his head on hers. "Fine by me, whatever you want." He hummed, burying his nose into her hair. "Your hair smells nice." He hummed, pulling back just a little bit.
Janet smiled a light dusting of pink on her cheeks. "Thanks…" She said softly. Of course, she was too shy to say anything out loud, but she thought Axel smelled really good. She averted her eyes to the waves crashing onto the shore.
"Do you really like it here?" He asked softly, sitting up now, so she would have an easier view of the ocean. The scent of salt air was all around, and his smile was as bright as the sun.
Janet shifted so it was easier to sit, still leaning against Axel. "Oh I definitely do. It's so beautiful and I'm so glad you took me here!" She said excitedly, but softly.
Deciding not to respond, he just gave her a gentle squeeze before resting his head back on her. There was something about being in his special place with Janet, that made everything just better.
Janet didn't feel the need to say anything. It was perfect. She had never been to a beach this empty and calm. Every time she had been it had quite a few people and it was pretty loud. Here is was somehow quiet, even with the waves and the birds.
"Do you ever wonder how to describe your feelings?" He asked softly, wondering where even he was planning on going with this. He was honestly just wondered how to female mind worked, after living with his mother and sister for so long.
Janet furrowed her eyebrows, a little confused by the question. She thought about it for a while in a comfortable silence. It was an interesting question. "Um, do you mean emotions in general, or sensations, or… love-type feeling?" She asked shyly.
