His face colored a soft shade of pink, and he reflected her smile. "Of course Janet. I'm so thankful I ran into you the diner." He laughed lightly, leaning his head against hers. "This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't been in a rush to get there. Now would it?" Axel asked in a whisper, holding onto her a little tighter than before.
"I'm so glad my friends said they had to go, or else we wouldn't have been leaving, resulting in us running into each other. It seems the stars aligned for us to meet." She whispered back. This was a perfect moment, there seemed to be a lot of those that day, all because of Axel.
Spinning around with her, he pulled back just slightly to give her a soft smile. "You would've thought I was just a dork. I'm sure of it." Axel snickered, pecking the tip of her nose. "And I could've run into some other girl."
"Well, I obviously didn't think you were, I'm here with you now. And that's totally possible, but you didn't so I'm going to say it was all just perfect timing, on both of our parts." She giggled a little, unable to keep a smile off of her face while looking up at Axel.
"That's true." He hummed, resting his hand on the side of her face. "All of that is. So I guess we just have to thank our lucky stars for now." Axel smiled, leaning in to place a soft kiss on her lips.
She kissed him back, tightening her arms around him slightly. Kissing him gave her a little rush of energy and excitement, and she loved it. The whole situation was so unlikely to happen on a normal basis and Janet just felt extremely lucky.
“Why does this just feel natural?” Axel mumbled, leaning in more to her lips. If her thoughts had been spoken, he would agree with her. It gave him a smile that could light up the room.
Janet didn't bother to say anything else, instead, she also leaned more into the kiss. She was unbelievably happy, not wanting anything else than to be with Axel.
Pulling back just slightly, he scooped her up bridal style to hold her close. "Do you wanna go sit outside, in the fresh air? It can get stuffy in here really quickly." Axel questioned, his forehead pressed against hers.
She smiled, holding onto Axel not necessarily to make sure she didn't fall but more just to be closer to him. "That sounds wonderful, I'd love to." He was right, it was getting a little stuffy. And the outdoors are quite a bit nicer in her opinion, no matter how nice a house is.
Smiling brightly, he led her through to the back porch. "Would you rather sit on my lap, or sit on the porch besides me?" Axel asked her, sitting down on the steps of the porch. "I'm fine with either, really."
Janet took a minute of consideration then slid to the side, right next to him. She leaned herself against him and took one of his hands. She smiled up at him, "Is this okay?" She asked softly. Even though she had been outside not too long ago, she really loved it.
"As long as you're happy, it's perfect." He hummed, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. It was still a beautiful day outside, with a soft breeze cooling down the hot day. The sky was an unnatural blue, painted with white clouds to break the color. The grass in the backyard seemed just as vibrant as the sky, but in more of a lush green than blue (of course). "Just like today… it's gorgeous outside."
