"This is your true form. You were always going to look like this. The only reason you haven't before now is because you weren't awakened yet. But now that you are, you have a job to do."

"No! This- this is some weird dream! None of this is happening!" Cordelia yelled, terrified.
"It's real. Now, if you would all calm down, I need to awaken your powers." They picked Cordelia up, dangling her over the edge of the cliff. "You shall be first, Water."

Alex's eyes widened. "Woah woah woah, don't hurt her!" He exclaimed, darting forward.
"I'm not," Memphis said, holding back the other three with an invisible force. "Her powers must awaken. This is the easiest way."
"What the hell?!" Thalia screamed. "What are you doing?" She ran over to them, trying to help Cordelia
Cordelia froze, staring down. "U-um, do I get a say in how this happens…?" She asked, voice small.
Stop it you fucking psychopath*!" Alex shouted.
Cordelia was trying not to cry, staying still. This story was much too familiar to her. "Okay, okay, I'll do what you want!" She whimpered, closing her eyes.
"Well, you'll be fine either way. You're the Water Elemental. Your magical instincts will kick in, and you should be propelled upwards by the water." Memphis let Cordelia go, and the girl started to fall towards the water.

Alex's eyes widened, and he tried to take a step forward to help, but was stopped by the barrier.
Cordelia screamed, crying as she fell. No no no no no I can't do it to mom again no no no no no-
"You're the Water Elemental. Use the water. You know what to do." Memphis called this down to Cordelia simply and sharply.
Cordelia was panicking too much to hear anything over the wind whistling in her ears. She closed her eyes as the water got closer, closing her eyes and preparing for the hit-
Only for it to never come, with her back barely on the surface, held up by the water as she calmed down. "What the fuck-"
"There you go!" Memphis yelled as the barrier dropped, the other three running up to the cliff. "Now use the water to come back up."
Cordelia felt herself rise up, falling completely silent as she tried to not panic again. She stumbled as she reached the top, still in a half daze with tears drying on her cheeks. "W-what just h-happened?"
"You're powers awakened. I shall teach you to use them once the other three are awakened. This is an essential part of the awakening process. It must be done. Now, who's next? Earth? Fire? Air?"
Cordelia stepped away from them, shaking slightly. "Y-you- Y-you- You threw me off a cliff! Are you crazy?" She yelled.
"Did you die?" Memphis asked simply, ignoring the fully awakened Elemental. "If you don't volunteer yourselves, I'll choose for you."
Thalia laughed, shaking her head. "I'll go next, why not?" She didn't believe any of this was real. And if it were? Well, then it's not like she would die if she were an elemental or whatever
"Earth, huh? Earth and Fire are always the hardest to awaken. No matter. I shall drop you from up there and you have to grow the trees to save you."
Thalia's eyes widened a bit as she laughed in disbelief. "Sure, buddy. I'll do that." And when I undoubtedly fall, I'll wake up from this stupid dream.
Alex's eyes were wide. "This is…" He shook his head. "Unbelievable." He said softly.
