( omg, this is a lot, any Jody summarize?)
(Alright! Basic summary: Bane challenged Cavendish’s skills because he thought their gatekeeping knowledge. He gets really whiny about it, and started talking about his dad. He heard a person on the roof, but they got murdered. He also noted how he doesn’t like the others. Bane and Cavendish get into a physical fight, Cavendish pinning Bane to the ground and him whining that he hates it. Bane retaliates by pinning Cavendish, slashing their arm, and almost choking them to death. He gets startled when they enjoy it (Also that he’s choking them to death) and backs off. Cavendish appreciated he didn’t hold back because of their body type. He is frightened how someone likes pain. A lot of it is wholesome talk, with Bane calling Cavendish his mentor and noting how he wanted out of his fathers Watch and organization. They agreed to help him. He asks how)
(Yeah, that's about right. Again, sorry Hiro!)
(I missed a lot it seems-)
Naize looked around the cabin “ if we're going to free him, then we need to do it quickly. If I don't return to my boss's side he’ll start looking “
(Yeah, sorry Jacen.)
Cavendish sits down as well, facing Bane.
"Well. . . you learn to." they murmur. "Either that, or you are born like that. I learned to enjoy the pain."
They reach out and lay a gentle hand on his chin, pulsing a bit of healing through it to dull down the pain and reduce swelling and bruising. "That should be better."
"I can keep you hidden from sight." they say. They lock gazes with Bane. "And I have seen what he's done to your face. I can feel the pain that came with those scars."
They turn their back to Bane, pulling off their shirt. Their back is a mess of bright red scars, looking recent and ugly against her dark skin. And when they turn their face back to Bane, their eyes, lips and neck have the same type of scars. "I understand pain well. And I can help. Just trust me."
They pull their shirt back on, and recast the illusion on their face, looking at Naize. "I know. Your boss is a Guildmaster, like mine, yes?"
“ yes, and being his lapdog is no longer helping out situation..”
Cavendish smirks. "I can buy you from the Guild."
“ and you would do that for me? You don't even know me or what I do..” she crossed her arms
"You're an assassin. A spy. A blade-for-hire. You are one of us. We can be our own family, our own Guild, seperate from everyone else." Cavendish replies.
Naize hesitated a moment “ alright, but how do we say out of the cops sights. We are all wanted”
Cavendish laughs. "Speak for yourself. They don't know what I look like, much less what I sound like."
“ but they know the puppy and me,”
Cavendish grins. "Fair."
They turn back to Bane, watching him closely for a moment.
Bane growled. “I am not a puppy! >:(.” He glared a Naize and mumbled, “Tu chat ignoble.” He took a deep breath, his tail demanifesting. Bane picked up his sword and started to clean it of the blood and debris. “How can I trust you won’t try to murder me. Any of you. I’ve already let my guard down—a few times. Trust is not so easily granted. particulièrement avec la fille.”
Cavendish stifles a laugh.
"Because I'm here. And I can stop all of you from doing anything." they say.
Naize threw her weapons at his feet. “Not going to hurt ya pup”
Bane raised an eyebrow. “And yet you've fought all of us. What about the mysterious twins, mm? Haven't heard their input.” His grip on the hilt tightened. He surveyed the room further looking for means of escape in case things go wrong.
Cavendish chuckles. "I think you're thinking of Shadowboy and his sister, whatever her name was. Naize doesn't have a twin, that I know of."
Bane had the look of a pouty little puppy. “That’s what I meant—you’re just full of laughs today, aren’t ya.”
“ God your whinny” she teased
Cavendish tilts their head in amusement. "Sure. Let's go with that."
They look up, and sigh. "Caretaker's here. Be nice."
Bane glanced at Naize and sneered, “God you're annoying!” He started to dig his claws into the leather of the hilt of the sword. “What in the hell is a caretaker?” If he was told, he has no memory. He put his sword back in its sheath, shaking the blood on his hands off. Getting him in a good mood wasn’t tough, but his situation was making it rather difficult.
Naize rolled her eyes and shifted, sitting at his best and giving a growl like purr
(ok um…how do I yeet into this?)
