"Try sending the fire back to me using the wind!" RinRin says as he launches a sheet of white hot fire at Clarissa.
"Try sending the fire back to me using the wind!" RinRin says as he launches a sheet of white hot fire at Clarissa.
“That's easy.” she retorts as she does just that, not noticing that her balance has gotten better to the point where she’s able to stand. Though still a bit unsteadily.
"Amplify it before you return it!" He says, sending more fire.
Clarissa furrows her brow slightly at the suggestion before trying. It makes sense as she focuses. Fire needs wind to exist. Take away the wind, and the fire dies… She just never tried adding wind before. As she uses the wind to redirect the fire towards RinRin, she pulls more wind from around her and feeds it into the flames.
"Good." He dissipates the fire. "Now," he says, his eye shining, "Again, with water this time!" He sends a wave of water rushing towards her.
(when RinRin's eye shines, he's using Unknown element, which can mimic other simple elements, but it takes more work to mimic more difficult elements.)
(or he's using a highly taxing move, like Rise of Hell.)
(oh hey zaven)
(if you're looking for a place to write something, you could write of what your characters doing now, since Rin and Clarissa left you and Seira alone together)
Clarissa tries to repeat her last move, adding air to the water to redirect the water, but all it does is halt the motion of the wave. But it doesn't take much for her to take control of it since she can control water as an element.
"Good." His eye continues to shine, "But how will you deal with battling winds?" He says as he creates a tornado, a whopping F3, right there in the forest. It flashes with lightning.
“Oh, come on!!!!” she yells in frustration, trying not to get knocked off her already unstable footing. But Clarissa wastes no time and jumps from her deteriorating platform as she calls up a pillar of rock to stand on. Finally feeling more stable, she focuses on the tornado and forces the wind to disperse.
"Hm. Good." He stands casually. "Come down. Let's try something."
Clarissa is actually pretty tired from the rapid-fire tests but manages to carve a staircase alongside her pillar as she walks down to meet him. “How long have you been practicing? Or are you just that strong?”
"A little of both, actually. If you want, we can keep going." Full Restore! The words echo, and RinRin and Clarissa are filled with energy. "Or we can take a break. Up to you. A little advice, heh."
“Thank you.” Clarissa smiles at the rejuvenating energy. “So, what do you want to try?” she asks, wondering what advice he was talking about.
"Well, you need to train harder to become strong. Your powers are strong, but you must train them to reach a stronger level. I can't stress enough how tactic and multiple aspects of an attack are important. Maybe we go again. Try to fool me with several attacks. Make some subtle. Make some more impending than others to draw me towards the subtle but dangerous ones. C'mon." He stands at the ready on one side of the field. "You go first. Remember, multiple aspects."
“That's a fair point.” she nods. “And I know that I need to mix it up a little but… Well, I doubt I could trick you with much of anything. Especially with that Unknown power and cloning ability of yours.” she points out before clearing her side of the field. She understood his overall instruction, she just wasn't entirely sure how to go about it.
"You start." RinRin says, "I will use mostly dodging and occasionally use simple attacks at clear and dangerous openings in your defense."
Clarissa nodded and immediately hit him with Geyser Blast sending RinRin into the air. Then she called a long vine to wrap around his torso and slam him back into the ground, which was now covered in a slick coat of ice.
RinRin yelps in surprise as he is thrown up and yanked down, then being frozen in ice. "Well, that's good, but be mindful of your opponent's weaknesses," he says as he effortlessly melts the ice. He summons a pillar of darkness behind her, which is reinforced with Mind to teleport her 30 feet in the air. Without giving her a chance to dodge, he sends her through it.
As Clarissa is in the air, she tries to remake the platform of wind again. And barely succeeds. Once stable she rains down a barrage of icicles to force RinRin backward into an overgrowth of poisonous plants.
RinRin senses the poisonous plants behind him, and says, "Good, but you must also be aware of your opponent's capabilities." He teleports behind her in the air and pokes her with smoking hands, once again.
“Cut that out!” she exclaims in surprise of the attack before quickly freezing his hands. She knew the ice wouldn't last long so she follows up with wrapping him up with vines again.
