Ari gave a soft smile, dangerously aware of how close they were. "Morning." he said. "Feeling any better?" he asked quietly, looking at Mitch.
Ari gave a soft smile, dangerously aware of how close they were. "Morning." he said. "Feeling any better?" he asked quietly, looking at Mitch.
“Yeah, lots better,” Mitch replied, but really… he didn’t feel better. Sure, the drugs were out of his system now and he felt physically fine, but emotionally was an entirely different story. Because now, he knew he’d need to shut Ari out. After we get out of bed, of course…
Ari nodded, sitting up and raking a hand through his already messy dark hair. "Alright. That's good." he replied, giving Mitch another smile. He put the necklace back on, rubbing a finger along the side of it lightly.
Mitch pulled away enough from the other man so he could sit up, Mitch favoring to stay laying down. “Ari…” Mitch nibbled on the corner of his lip, “I never got the chance to explain myself when I said… when I said I didn’t want to have sex with you.” Mitch, even though he knew he needed to cut any slightly romantic ties he had with Ari, still wanted to explain -well, sort of- why he had blurted out earlier at the mention of sex with Ari.
Ari blinked, looking over at him. "You're still caught up on that?" he asked, shaking his head a little. "Mitch, I…I don't mind. Okay?" he said, stretching. "It's not an issue." I mean…I don't know. He doesn't need to explain, I understand. He might not be into guys that way or something.
Mitch shook his head a little, “Y-You deserve to know.” You deserve to know at least a little bit of it, because I actually like you and I actually want to have sex with you… Sure, Mitch couldn’t tell Ari about his secret. But he could tell him part of the truth, in the very least.
Ari frowned a little bit, then shrugged. "Okay. If…you're okay with telling me, then okay." he looked over at Mitch carefully. He did seem to be feeling better, which was good.
Mitch took a deep breath, “It’s just… I’ve never had sex with… with a guy before,” He confessed softly, “I’ve never had sex…” I’ve never had sex that I’ve actually like before. “…that actually mattered to me.” Telling Ari that half of the truth was already making Mitch feel better. “I guess I’m just nervous.” That, and the fact that you’d see how abnormal I am.
Ari nodded slowly. "Ah." he said, turning over Mitch's words in his head. "Are you afraid it would hurt?" he asked. "Because without proper preparation, it can, but…" he shrugged slightly. "I understand, though. Like I said earlier, it's not a problem." I know what it's like to not want to. I'm not going to try and pressure him into anything. He knew he wasn't going to do that. Wouldn't force Mitch into anything.
Mitch couldn’t stop the faint hint of pink from dusting over his cheeks. “Well, yeah…” He mumbled in embarrassment, “I also don’t know… I don’t know…” He tried to find a good way to phrase the words, “I don’t know about, uh, myself being naked in front of someone when I’m not drunk of out my mind.” It was technically true, but more like he didn’t want to get naked in front of someone else who wasn’t drunk out of their mind. Mitch sat up, ‘accidentally’ scooting a bit closer to the other male.
Ari nodded again. "Oh. Alright." he gave Mitch a gentle smile. "Really, it's fine. I didn't need an explanation, though I'm grateful for it in any case." he said.
“Thank you, Ari… for understanding,” Mitch mumbled happily, almost leaning into the other man but stopping himself. He tiredly itched his head, and that was probably the biggest mistake of his life. Mitch’s beanie fell off his head to reveal his black to red gradient horns, smooth like bone, sticking out from beneath his hair. The incubus froze where he was, panic written clearly over his face.
(Btw, his horns are kinda about this length or like ‘I’ in this example except the base is covered by his red hair)
Ari's eyes went wide at the sight of the horns. Are those…normal? For humans? I don't… think so…in which case…? He blinked quickly. "I uhm…you have horns." He blurted, sounding mildly stupid. "That's new."
It was like the world kicked into action again, and Mitch quite literally fell of the side of the bed in the process for grabbing his beanie again—it had fallen off the bed too, so he ended up on the floor as he yanked the hat back on. “Th-They’re fake,” Mitch stammered, he heart pounding. Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. “I wear them because—kinky?”
Ari blinked, staring at him still. "I uhm… they didn't look fake…" He replied slowly. They looked like…but no, that's impossible. "But okay." He figured it was easier just to accept Mitch's explanation than to question it and risk giving himself away.
Mitch let out a sigh of relief on accident. Gosh he actually believed that… wait, now does he think I think my horns are kinky? Mitch wanted to groan. He had been so close to being caught, so unforgivably close… “We should make sure Kyo is okay,” Mitch blurted from his place on the floor, trying to shift the attention away from himself before Ari could change his mind about believing him.
Ari wrinkled his nose a little, then his eyes widened a bit. "Oh, yeah." He stood up, extending a hand to help him up. "Come on. We'll check his room first, and then if he isn't there…I don't know." He shrugged a little. He could track Kyo with his magic, if he wanted to, but… that would be a dead giveaway. And he didn't want that.
Mitch shyly took Ari’s hand, thankful for the distraction. He felt like everyone could see right through him, he was a terrible liar to begin with, and now? What if Ari told the others? What if they got suspicious? What if the humans rallied together and tried to kill him because he was a monster? No, no, no, I’m being paranoid. Ari wouldn’t do that…. right?
Kyo was still sitting on the pier, he had woven an illusion that he wasn't here and that the pier was closed for the day. Illusion magic, at least I can still do that. He thought sadly, looking back down at the ocean. "If I died, technically all the problems would go away." Kyo muttered to himself. It was true, if he went into the water now, he'd die and go to the spirit courts. His skin would be there.
Ari took a deep breath. "Come on." He led Mitch to Kyo's room. The door was open, and it was quite obvious that the room was empty. The bed didn't even look like it had been slept in. He shook his head, and looked around the house. "He's not here." He said, stating the obvious.
Mitch bit his lips when he looked at the empty bed, “Do you think he went and hooked up with somebody?” He asked with a frown, “Or he passed out somewhere?” Mitch didn’t think either option was true, but he didn’t exactly know where else the human would be.
"Kyo…doesn't strike me as the sort to hook up with people. I hope he didn't pass out." Ari frowned, thinking. "We should go look for him. There's no telling where he might be."
“Yeah, let’s get Callista too and tell her what’s going on,” Mitch agreed, worry on his face as he turned around and already began to get his stuff—wallet, jacket, and of course keys. He thought about getting a new change of clothes -ones that didn’t smell like alcohol- but Mitch wanted to get Kyo first and know that his roommate was safe.
Ari nodded, and grabbed his own stuff. "Callista!" he shouted. "Let's go get Kyo!" he didn't care that that might not be what Mitch had meant when he said to "get Callista". He wasn't going to go walking through the whole house, again, just to try and find someone else. So therefore, yelling.
(hey sorry for disappearing I was sick and didn't want to do anything. What did I miss?)
