(ok lol)
(ok lol)
(Alright, back to drugged demon, angry genie and a sucidal selkie.)
(and ??? gorgon lol. And Ari isn't quite as angry anymore, tho he's still pissed off)
(Sorry, forgot about the tired mom gorgon.)
I'm running on less than two hours of sleep.
(lol yeah. oof go get more sleep)
Ari gently put his hand on Mitch's shoulder, running his thumb lightly over the other man's cheek. "Do you want me to stay?" He asked softly, still holding onto Mitch's hand gently.
(lol I may or may not be also shouting KISS from the corner over here, but like I don’t want them to kiss when Mitch is drugged eitherrrr)
Mitch nodded, taking a deep breath and whispered shakily, “Y-Yes.” He tugged at Ari’s hand a little again, a small secret part of him wanting to be held and comforted and protected. He didn’t want to deal with this alone.
(lol next time maybe XD)
Ari nodded, and pushed the door closed with his foot. "Okay. How long?" He asked softly. "Just until you fall asleep, or…all night?" He was alright with it either way. He wasn't going to take advantage of Mitch. Not when he was like this. Not ever, but especially not now.
Mitch turned his head away slightly as he whispered weakly, “C-Can you st-stay all night?” He was… embarrassed. Embarrassed to want Ari to stay with him. But he needed that comfort, that stability of someone else to hold onto. Of someone else to protect him, to hold him, to lo- No. Bad Mitch. Don’t be selfish.
Ari nodded, and lay down beside him on the bed. He squirmed a little, gently pushing Mitch over a bit so he had room. "Okay." He replied softly. After a moment of thinking, he took off the neclace and pendant, setting it on the bedside table.
Mitch relaxed ever so slightly as he felt Ari’s weight next to him in the bed. Before he could stop himself, he shifted a little closer so he could feel Ari’s warmth next to him. He cracked his eyes open to look at the handsome man beside him, and the hallucinations seemed to look blurrier and less clear than before, at least.
Ari gently put an arm around Mitch, holding him carefully. "Go to sleep." He murmured gently. "You'll feel better in the morning, I promise." His voice was quiet, gentle, and calm.
Mitch took a deep breath, then, curse his drugged and half-drunken state that caused him to be bold and mess everything up, wrapped his arms around Ari tightly and snuggled into him. He could apologize in the morning for being so forward and idiotic, but right now Mitch was being dragged into the abyss by something called exhaustion.
Ari blinked, then wrapped his arms around Mitch gently, holding him. He wasn't sure how much of the other male's behavior was just from the drugs, and how much could be something…more. But no, that wasn't possible. Mitch was a friend. Nothing more, nothing less. That was what it was. What it had to be.
Mitch surprisingly slept well in Ari’s arms, despite his wings and tail still cramped up against his body in his slumber. Typically, nighttime was the only time Mitch got to stretch out his wings -which also made it possible for his to sleep on them without squishing them to a point of pain- and let his tail come out from underneath his pant-leg, but he wasn’t fazed by sleeping cramped up this time.
Ari held him, eventually falling asleep as well. Normally, it was difficult for the Djinn to fall asleep with someone else, but…not now. He didn't know why.
(Timeskip to morning or…?)
(I'd say yes but…might wanna wait for Unseelie's opinion on that lol)
(Yeah, go off bud. They could start to get worried about Kyo not being home yet.)
Hours later, Mitch finally awoke. The first thing he detected was the faint smell of cloves and spices. Mitch had a slight headache from the night before, but when he cracked his eyes open to see his vision absent of the hallucinations. Of course, his bliss and relief ended a second later when he realized his limbs were tangled with Ari’s. Mitch didn’t dare move in fear of waking the other man.
Ari was curled with his arms still linked around Mitch, his eyes closed. His necklace lay on the bedside table, shining even in the dim lighting. He looked younger, somehow, like this. With his eyes closed and his face relaxed in sleep. It wasn't long, though, before he began to stir, twitching and starting to wake up.
Gosh he’s stunning when he’s asleep… Mitch found himself not wanting to move, but he panicked a little when the other man started to wake up. He could decide whether to risk pulling his arms and legs away from him immediately and risk him noticing, or staying where he was an risk Ari’s disgust. In the end, Mitch ended up closing his eyes and pretending he was still asleep—not daring move an inch.
Ari opened his eyes sleepily, blinking. He rubbed his face with a hand. It took him a minute to remember why he was in someone else's bed, and he sighed softly, examining Mitch carefully. He looked to be still asleep. Good. Hopefully he was doing better than he had been last night. He gently brushed a few strands of hair back, away from Mitch's face.
Mitch had to use all the willpower inside of him to not move, to not lean into that touch. Only one night. I allowed myself only one night, and that was yesterday. No more. Mitch knew he couldn’t let himself be with Ari. It was too dangerous for the the mortal, and he would be heartbroken if he fell in love then had to watch his lover age without him. As much as he enjoyed the faint scent of cinnamon coming off him and mingling with Ari’s smell of spices, Mitch knew he would need to pull away eventually. After a few more minutes….
Ari let out a soft breath, looking at Mitch carefully. No more of this, Ari. You can't. You won't age, or you'll have to leave, or the lamp… he cast a glance at the necklace, then back at Mitch. It's too dangerous for the both of you. You can't risk it. You can't. But gods, he wanted to. He really wanted to.
Mitch finally cracked his eyes opened again, looking at Ari. His lips parted, to say something, but when he looked at that face so close to his when they were both sober… “M-Morning,” Mitch murmured, his voice barely more than a whisper. He didn’t realize his beanie on his head had shifted a little, dangerously close to showing his horns.
