@gracehustle

She stepped out of the ship and looked around, not spotting Zev right away as she floated to her ship to work again. The ships being tethered together made her feel a little better and she even smiled slightly as she worked again. Panels sucked. Working on the outside of ships sucked. That was Thesa’s conclusion as she continued to work and found another panel that wouldn’t bend and actually cooperate.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev came back out after finishing the tethering, and went back to work without a word. He checked the controls for the suit, then continued working, rewiring then bending the panels into place.

@gracehustle

Her eyes flitted over to him for a moment when he came back to work, though she didn't say anything either. The hull of the ship was thick, she could see that, which was good for not being sucked into the vacuum of space. She eventually got it to a place that looked somewhat decent before welding it on, counting how many more they had to fix before they even started to measure the main window and figure everything out.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(argh i keep trying to say that he "sighed" or something and then im like "but he doesn't need to breathe??? No sigh?? Bad icefire androids no sigh??" Ugh. Tired XD)

Zev climbed over the hull to another plate, and sat on the hull, peeling back the plate to check on the wires beneath. He fixed a few, then bent the plate back into place. It was easier for him to do so than it was for her, because he, as an Android, was stronger than a human.

@gracehustle

(XD writing an android would be really tough, and also sry for not responding to the other rp yet, it's open on my phone which I can't get to until morning)
Thesa didn't bother with fixing any of the wiring unless the panel was bent completely askew and she could get to it easily, otherwise it wasn't worth her trouble to get to it. She scowled as she fixed some wires and bent the plating back into place, her arms protesting every single time she wrestled a panel into place. Soon she would have to call it quits. Unless Zev wanted to worry about bringing her unable to move form inside so she didn't die.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(yesss it is bc all those little tics that normal people have? Messing with their hair, looking around, sighing, adjusting their clothes, etc? He doesn't do that. So I'm like…"what does he do?? He just…. stands there?? Awkwardly staring???" Its terrible XD but it's good writing practice, so. It's fine, dont worry about it :) )

Zev kept working. He was prioritizing the panels that were actually bent or broken, fixing the wires inside before taking care of the panel itself, welding it shut. His left wrist clicked, and he paused, tapping the side of it. He didn't want to have to take it apart again, because he would have to go inside to do it.

@gracehustle

(XD Yeah, it’s so different from just a human, cuz I know what a human will do when bored but an Android??? They’re robots?? They don’t get bored?? I would be so lost controlling one of them)

Thesa decided she would fix two more panels before going in, spotting two down by the bottom of the ship that she could work on. They were completely bent and twisted, meaning they were going to take quite a hefty amount of work to get them back. She sighed and floated down, getting straight to work so she could finish.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(yesssssssss XD that's why my replies are sorta short sometimes, bc like…there's nothing for him to do but work?? Bc he wouldn't make small talk or anything so he just works? Quietly? And there's only so much description of work that i wanna do lol)

He continued working, moving to the next panel once he had finished one. Some took him longer than others, but since he couldn't become physically fatigued or tired, or develope aches and pains like a human would, he could continue working at the same pace he had worked at when he started.

@gracehustle

(Same lol)
Thesa’s pace slowed down considerably from when she started, but she was still working through the soreness of her muscles and the fatigue. Even just working on one panel was getting tougher and tougher, she didn’t know if she could get to a second panel before giving up completely. Her arms weren’t accustomed to the strain of bending and pushing panels around, especially after working on wiring for two days.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev continued working, smacking his left wrist sometimes to make it keep working. He knew that that wasn't the best thing to do, but he didn't want to stop working and go inside to fix it. That would require taking off the suit, peeling back the skin, fixing it, setting the skin back over top, then putting the suit back on.

@gracehustle

“I gotta call it a day,” Thesa eventually declared, only halfway done with fixing the panel she was working on, “Otherwise I’ll hurt myself, I know it.” She let go of the panel and let herself float, looking over at Zev momentarily as she floated to the Daedalus and headed inside. Her arms felt like jelly as the gravity and pressed inside the ship returned and she pulled off her helmet.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Alright. Let me know when you would like me to grab your things from your ship." Zev replied, still working on his panel. "And if you would like me to show you what room to use." He shifted around, and continued to work.

@gracehustle

“Any time you can get them will work,” She replied before she went inside, “And I’ll find the room myself, that’ll be no problem.” Her arms hung limply at her sides and she sighed, slipping out of the space suit and leaving it folded nicely right where she would have to put it on to go into space.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Alright." Zev replied, and continued working. He let go of the ship for a moment, moving so he could weld it better. He welded the panel shut, then moved to the one that Thesa hadn't finished, and started working on that one.

@gracehustle

Thesa glanced out towards space again before wandering into the ship, finding the room with the TV in it again and plopping down in front of it. She didn’t know if it would work or even if it would turn on, but if it did, she would probably fall asleep right there, watching movies.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev continued to work. The TV did indeed work, and sputtered on after a few minutes, displaying a selection of movies and TV shows. It had obviously been a high quality TV thirty years ago, and still worked rather well.

@gracehustle

She smiled when it turned on and looked through the selection of movies, choosing one at random. Thesa sighed and watched at the movie started, her smile still on her face as she watched. It had been forever since she had seen any movies, her job kept her too busy and she couldn’t afford to buy a television for her ship anyway. It would just be another thing that she ships engines would have to power.

@ElderGod-Icefire

A very, very old black and white movie started playing. Zev continued working for a while, then stopped, going into Thesa's ship and getting the things she had wanted.

@gracehustle

She laid on her stomach on the floor, propping her head in her hands and looking up at the screen intently. The volume was at a decent level and she was content. Even within just a few minutes of the movie she was already feeling her eyelids grow heavier.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zev took the suit off so that he could have an easier range of movement. He checked through the halls, looking for Thesa. After a few minutes of searching, he found her, and came into the room, setting her things down. "Oh, this is a good movie." He commented. He had always enjoyed it, though perhaps that wasn't normal for an Android.

@gracehustle

“Mhm, it’s pretty good so far,” She agreed, still just propped up on her arms and laying on her stomach, “Does your ship happen to have any blankets on board by chance? I’ll make it without one if there’s not any, but it’s much more comfortable to have a blanket to sleep.” Thesa pulled her stuff close to herself and continued watching the movie, only glancing over at him once.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded, and pulled a blanket out of a cupboard, bringing it to her and unfolding it. "Here." He said, and sat down. "Do you care if I watch this with you? I have erased most of the details from my mind, and would like to rewatch it." He peeled back the skin of his left hand, and tightened the wrist joint again, then put the skin back over top.

@gracehustle

She tossed the blanket so it draped over her back and covered from her shoulders to her as far down her legs as it could reach, “Sure, you can watch it. Don’t spoil anything though.” The movie wasn’t one she had ever seen before, but it really did interest her as she snuggled up with the blanket and felt the familiar weight of sleep start to wash over her.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded. "Alright." He remained silent as the movie played, the long dead actors saying lines they had said billions and billions of times over the centuries.

@gracehustle

Thesa yawned softly, forcing her eyes to stay open as she dropped her head from her hands and just rested it on her arms. She pulled her clean set of clothes out of her stuff and rolled them into a ball for a pillow, still watching the movie as she rolled onto her side and her eyes drifted shut. If she wasn’t exhausted, she would’ve watched the whole movie though, but she couldn’t help it. The talking and company was nice, and even though the floor wasn’t terribly comfy, she didn’t really care.
