Tobias noted the wolves coming out with food, and he approached slowly, but didn't want to be too nosy.
Megan had managed to find Tobias, and she came up behind him, shaking his shoulders. "How goes it, Tobias?"
He whirled around. "Megan!" He sort of whisper-shouted, "Where have you been??" He asked in a quiet voice.
"I went exploring and such with Frost… And what did you end up doing?"
"Watching the fish again," He answered. Nothing that extravagant… Except when Alex and Arthur began playing!! That was totally awesome!….
Skye dropped his limb, letting out a triumphant bark. Alex and Silver came over, along with Blaze and the silver haired man. (His name is Avalanche) Sirus, (black furred Wolf) and Storm (winged She wolf, Tornado's mom) dropped their ends, Relaxing on the rocks around the clearing.
Megan grinned. "I guess we have to wait until they cook the food, huh?"
Tobias nodded. "I suppose I'll be… Off somewhere…." He wandered off to the edge of the clearing under a tree and sat down, fingering through the grass for more insects or something. There isn't much besides the fish in the river to entertain myself…
Silver nodded to Alex, "Care to light it up?"
Alex smirked, "Solara!" the fire pit came to life with a huge flame, Silver grinned.
Skye smirked, using his auras to create a grill like shape in the flames.
Blaze and Avalanche set to work with Silver to gut, clean, and skin the creature to get at the meat.
A group of three smaller kids, only about 5-6, came over to Tobias. "Wanna help us get the vegetables?!" they asked excitedly.
Tobias glanced at them. "I would, but I don't know where everything is…" Maybe they can show me?…. Yet they look really young.
Megan was completely satisfied with the flames. I bet this dinner will be one in a million….
"We'll show you!" they said, "Come on Tornado!!" one of them called. causing her to come racing over.
Silver pulled a couple of herb jars out of his bag, rubbing the sliced meat in them, before handing the to Blaze so she could slap it on Skye's grill.
Tobias waited for Tornado before following the kids off to find the vegtables.
Megan watched them. Maybe I can adopt some cooking methods… Yet that would be tough without a fire pit and things as such… Perhaps I should just stick to my own ways of doing things.
The little group led him off to the far edge, where a large vegetable patch lay. There were peas, carrots, cucumber, corn, yam, squash, rutabega, beans, ect. All of which were planted in neat rows. Tornado went to start digging for potatoes, and one of the two boys led Tobias off to grab a basket from a nook in the rocks. Handing the basket to Tobias he ran of to run and fetch what the other's were picking and place it in the basket.
Tobias hesitantly went to wherever there wasn't too many kids in the patch and began to pick – very, very fast. (He is enhanced, after all). His basket was full in only a matter of several minutes, and he was standing by the edge, waiting for the others to finish up. I don't mean to feel awkward…. But…. I am the oldest of these kids, I think… And even Tornado.
"Come on!" Called the small red headed girl, "We have to get these to Silver!" she held up her basket, and nodded to Tobias before running off.
Tobias bolted, trying to keep his vegtables in the basket as he came back into the clearing. He was a bit frightened, as he wasn't sure where the other kids went. Well, he said to take them to Silver…. He went over to the fire pit. "I have some food…" He said shyly.
Megan smiled. It's good to see that he's helping out…
Silver smiled, motioning for him to set the basket on a small smooth rock, next to the one the other kids had left. "Any chance you wanna help out?" he asked.
Tobias set the basket down. "I don't know…." He shrugged. I don't know what else I can do….
"Can you chop veggies?" asked Silver, "I learned along time ago I can't trust the other kids with a knife and Tornado won't touch it."
Megan hesitated.
Tobias stopped short too, but he agreed. "I suppose I can at least try it…" I don't blame her… Knives are awfully dangerous.
Silver pulled out a sharp dagger, laying it next to the veggies, "You don't have to if you don't want to" he said gently, "It's fine to get someone else to do it."
"No… I think I can do it…." Tobias handled the dagger carefully, and took a long look at the vegtables in front of him and glanced at Silver. "Would it be alright if I had a second one?"
Megan nearly spat out in surprise.
"A second Knife?" asked Silver, preoccupied with spicing the meat, "What do you need that for??"
"….To cut the vegtables faster…" Tobias said quietly.
Megan smiled sheepishly, a bit embarrassed. "Well, I think one is enough…." I can't really trust him to have two…
Tobias shrugged. "Never mind…" He began to get to work, cutting them up extremely fast but efficient.
Silver laughed, "I don't think a second knife is gonna make it go faster" he said, "Besides, that'd be a good way to get hurt."
Tobias finished with the first round, everything chopped up.
Megan chuckled embarrassingly. "That's what I initially thought…"
Silver rolled his eyes, finishing with the deer carcass, having gotten all the meat off of it. "Oy! Can we get a couple of Sola over here to take care of this?" he called,
Luma popped up in front of it. "At your service mate, so stand back!" he placed a hand on the ravaged Skeleton.
Tobias didn't ask questions as he kept cutting.
Soon all the baskets were empty, and all the vegtables were chopped up and ready to eat – or cook.
I wonder what he's gonna do with that….
Silver smiled when he saw the veggies, but quickly pulled him away from the carcass for a moment.
Luma nodded checking to make sure everyone was away. "Incernos!" the carcass burst into flames, heat so hot you could feel it from where Silver was standing several feet away. Luma was touching the flames, controlling them as the carcass burned to ashes.
Tobias gasped as it burst into flames, nearly scared to death. Whoa, that was sudden…. He placed a hand on his chest, feeling the pounding of his 'heart.'
