"I see then…." Tobias went up to get dressed and was ready to go when he came back down and got his stuff. "…So… Are you ready?"
"I see then…." Tobias went up to get dressed and was ready to go when he came back down and got his stuff. "…So… Are you ready?"
"Yup" Rio said as he led the way out the door and down the street.
Tobias made sure to lock the door with his hand before he left the stoop.
"You know…. I'm not sure why… But I feel more… Whole now that I saw Steve for the first time." It's a strange feeling, but it's true…
"I can relate kiddo" said Rio absentmindedly.
“Maybe if I didn’t know who he was at all, it really wouldn’t have mattered…” He kicked a rock off the sidewalk as they turned a corner. “But…. Because I do… it just… kinda hit me in a different way.”
"Mmhmm" Rio wanted to say something, but knew he had to let the kid figure it out on his own.
"Well–" They came to the school, and his conversation was cut a bit short. "Er– I'll see you after school if Megan is still working." He backed away, waving. "Bye Rio!"
"See ya kid!" Said Rio before turning around and heading back to Megan's house.
Tobias got to school and was on his way to his first class in no time.
Came lunch time (I guess). He was outside playing by himself when some random ball came and slapped him in the head.
"Oh, gee, sorry Neon Eyes," Barked that one kid (oof I need a name for him). "I couldn't see you when you were blinding me."
Tobias frowned. He's just jealous…. Right? "Can you please leave me alone?…"
"In your dreams," He snarked, chucking the ball again.
Tobias deflected it back with a harsh swing of his foot, pelting the kid straight in the face.
(oof… uhm.. name 'im Marcus?)
Rio walked back in the door, to find Skye standing in hall, foot tapping ominously. Rio shut the door, and met Skye in the eye, "I know full well what I did and I know I shouldn't have done it-" he stopped when Skye held up a hand.
"I know Rio," he said Quietly, "And I know you know how much trouble you could be in right now." he looked Rio in the eye for what seemed like a tense eternity.
(OoOoOoOoag)(Okay, I suppose I can use that name)
Marcus was left with a bloody nose and a surprised posse. “What the—“ He wiped his nose and saw the redness for himself. “Moron!!” He howled, tears leaking from his eyes. “You just got yourself in trouble!!”
They scurried off, and before long, Tobias was waiting in the office as everyone else went home.
(Oh noes)
(Aww poor Tobias!)
"But right now I'm thanking you instead. " said Skye. "that command you used.. I needed a nights sleep, but at that point I couldn't relax long enough or I would've lost control…"
Rio breathed a sigh of relief, "I thought for sure you'd kill me…"
(Lol I thought you’d kill me)
Tobias was waiting for Megan to come when Marcus and both of his parents came in and had a seat, giving him a terrible glare.
“I bet he knows better,” The lady hissed under her breath.
He felt bad, but he didn’t really mean to; although Marcus deserved it on every level. I’ll make sure to tell the truth, even if it doesn’t play out for me….
(He gonna rat this kid out so bad)
Rio and Skye had spent most of the day training in the basement, when Rio looked up at the time. "One of us should go pick up Tobias" he said,
"We'll both go" said Skye leading the way up the stairs and out the door. Once outside Rio led the way down the block.
When they arrived at the school Tobias was nowhere to be seen. Skye spotted some other kids about Tobias' age and went over to them, Rio followed behind. "Hey kids!" Skye came up to them, "We were just looking for a freind of ours, a kid named Tobias?" Rio came up, "We were wondering if you knew whwere he was?"
The kids exchanged glances. “Yeah— we heard he totally decked some other kid right in the face and broke his nose!”
“It was bleeding all over the place, and now he’s in trouble!”
“So much trouble!”
(Ah nothing like young kid rumor stuff…. and disregard stranger danger, am I right?)
Tobias sat quietly, the stares settling in on him quickly. Hurry Megan…
“Well, it appears Megan can’t make it, so we’ll have a conversation with her some other time,” Said some counseling guy (because the principal is too cliche). “Anyways… can we start out with what happened?” He turned to Marcus since he seemed like the good guy.
“I—“ He began to sob pathetically. “I accidentally kicked a ball over his way, and when I asked for it back, he just punched me in the face. For no reason! And— and my nose began to bleed… it hurt so bad!”
As his parents comforted him nicely, Tobias blurted out, “That’s not what happened.”
"Where is he?" Asked Skye.
“Oh— He’s in the counseling office or whatever.” The kid waved a hand. “If you ask those poeple in the office they can direct you to it.”
There was a calling of a few names and the kids had to skedaddle off on their way home.
Marcus gave Tobias a deadly glare, but he didn’t say anything.
“Well, what did happen then?”
Tobias remembered everything clear as day. “I was minding my own business while I got hit in the head with a ball. Marcus came over with three of his friends and said ‘Oh, gee, sorry Neon Eyes. I couldn’t see you when you were blinding me.’”
Marcus broke a sweat, and the guy gave him a cocked eyebrow look.
“I asked him to please leave me alone, and he told me ‘in your dreams’ when he threw the ball he had in his hands right at my face.” He blinked. “Out of self defense, I kicked the ball away with my foot, and it struck him in the face and gave him a bloody nose.”
Marcus’ parents were left confused, and Marcus himself was growing flustered, since he knew the truth just as well.
Skye nodded then led Rio into the school probimg a few people mentally for directions, getting to the office he went up to the main desk "excuse me ma'am but we are looking for a kid named Tobias. We were supposed to pick him up from school."
"Tobias….?" She cocked her head, looking for a last name. "You mean Tobias Moin, right?… Unfortunately he got in trouble during the school day, and it may be a while before he may be released back home."
"So… You're telling me that Marcus offensively confronted you before trying to harm you?" The man began to lean the other way.
"H– H– He's lying!!" Marcus barked. "I did nothing of the sort!!!"
He sat and thought for a little while. It was mildly odd that two people told two entirely different stories. "…Judging from your past, Marcus, I entirely believe that you did confront Tobias in an offensive manner…"
He sputtered, and so did his parents. "Unbelievable!" His mother screeched. "My son would never do such a thing!"
"Wouldn't Megan say the same thing about Tobias?"
"Yeah. Megan is a bit busy at the moment with her job." Said Skye, "and shouldnt tobias be able to have an adult with him?"
"Well, it looks like they're about done…" She glanced at her watch. "Their time is coming to a close…"
Long story short, the both of them got a warning, yet nothing serious. As Marcus left first, rubbing his hands together devilishly, Tobias came on out with a somber look, and was a tad startled to see both Skye and Rio there, talking to the lady at the desk. "Hey Skye… Hey Rio…" I'm ready to go home.
"Good to see ya kid!" Said Rio,
"You ready to get outta here?" asked Skye, as Rio grinned at Tobias.
He sighed. "Sure. I guess I do…" I've wanted to go home since I got here… Tobias lead the way outside and down the street, keeping his hands in his pocket and kicking every pebble in his path. I never did anything wrong… He was the one who started it…
Skye and Rio walked behind the kid as they headed home. "You ok?" Asked Skye.
"I got in trouble for reflexes," He muttered. "Some kid named Marcus threw a ball at me and I kicked it back with enough force to give him a bloody nose…" Tobias shrugged. "I told them all I knew, but I still get punished…" I know Megan will be angered at me… But not so much as she was the first time it happened…
