Again, Leo had opted for more looser flowing pants that remind him of something from the 80’s. There were a couple pairs of jeans, shorts and track pants, though.
Elijah held up a pair of shorts. "What are these? Why are they so small?" He put his through it, very confused.
Leongiggled, “They’re shorts. They’re for when it gets warmer so you don’t over heat in longer pants.”
"But why are they so small. Your legs are supposed to be covered." He flung the shirts aside and grabbed the jeans next. "These look weird too. What kind of fabric is this?"
“Denim.” He replied, crossing his arms over his chest.
"This fabric is strange." He tossed the jeans next, lamding on the floor next to the shorts. He picked up the pants next. He pulled them on.
Leo huffed, leaning back in the chair, “It’s not that strange…”
"Yes it is. We do not have these 'shorts' or 'denim' trousers." Elijah huffed back.
“Well you’re gonna have to get used to it.” Leo replied, sticking his tongue out.
"No, I don't want too. I miss my old clothes." Elijah crossed his arms with a sniffle
Leo looked towards the ground and sighed, “I’m sorry…”
Elijah dug his palms into his eyes, trying to stop the tears from forming
Leo stood up and quickly walked over, wrapping his arms around Elijah.
Elijah melted into his arms and dug his head into his shoulder. "I'm sorry" he said muffled.
“It’s not your fault…” Leo replied quietly, hiding his face in his chest.
Elijah took serial deep breaths before pulling away. He wiped away a stray tear. "Okay. I'm okay. I'm ready to go home now."
Leo nodded, gathering the chosen clothes and a few extras into the cart, leaving the rest, “Okay. We can come back another time if we need to.”
Elijah nodded. He bounced slightly on the balls of his feet as he followed Leo to go pay for the clothes.
Leo made sure to pay quickly so Elijah didn’t freak out too much at the machines they used. There were quite a few bags to carry but Leo tried to carry them all.
Elijah closed his eyes when they went up to pay. There were too many weird noises and flashing lights and small boxes that lit up. He opened them when they had finished. He took some of the bags from Leo.
Leo smiled in thanks as they headed out of the shop and the mall. It was busier then before as more people were around but most were headed to work and payed them no attention.
Elijah Leo his head down as he walked beside Leo. He was focusing on taking deep breaths.
Luckily the walk back to the apartment wasn't long and soon they were back. Leo fished out his keys and opened the door, placing the bags on the couch.
Elijah walked over to the couch and fell in to it, face first. He let out a loud, muffled whine.
Leo sighed softly, crouching down before sitting on the floor beside him, "You right there?"
