"What's a phone?" Elijah asked, looking at him curiously

Leo smiled softly, “A device we use to talk to people.”

"That doesn't make sense." Elijah said

Leo shrugged, “I know…” He sighed softly before moving to get up.

Elijah let him and got up as well, followojg him

Leo pulled up be of his big shirts over his head before he headed into the living room.

Elijah followed behind him, not bothering to dress himself.

When Leo picked up his phone, he had multiple calls from his mum. He immediately was worried and picked up the phone to call her back.

Elijah walked behind him and wrapped his arms around him

Leo leaned back into Elijah, placing the phone to his ear. It didn’t take long before the continuous talk of his mum could be heard from the other side.

Elijah jerked back when he heard noise coming from the small box. He whimpered quietly. Why was it making noise. He didn't understsnd anything.

Leo took Elijah’s hand, giving it a squeeze, “Hi mum… what?… why now, you know dad doesn’t like me going to the events…”

Elijah backed away slightly. Why were their noises? How was there noises coming from it? He didn't like it. He tore his hand out of leos and covered his ears.

Leo looked to him, worried, “Yeah… look I’ll try and make it, but if dad makes a scene don’t blame me… yeah… yeah okay bye…” He hung up, “Elijah?”

Elijah shook his head and kept his hands iver his ears. "Make it stop." He cried.

“Hey hey, it’s off now,” Leo said gently, reaching up to place his hands over his, “You’re okay, it’s not gonna hurt you.”

Very slowly, Elijah lowered his hands and looked at Leo with glossy eyes. "Promise?"

Leo took one of his hands, interlocking their pinky fingers and kissing them a second later, “Promise.”

Elijah gave him a small, sad smile. "Okay." He took a deep breath. "Lets go back to bed."

Leo nodded a little, though knew he wasn't going to be able to sleep anytime soon.

Elijah took his hand and med him back to the bedroom.

Leo let Elijah lead him. He buried himself under the covers when they were in the bedroom.

Elijah smiled and got under tge covers as well. He hugged Leo to his chest. "Are you okay?" He asked

Leo nodded, “Yeah, of course I am, why wouldn’t I be?”
