(Thank you i appreciate it)
Ember laughed a little at the kiss and held him tighter "dear i can have someone bring it her i wouldn't even have to leave you." Ember paused for a moment at the mention of her own study "wait since when do i have a study?"
Nathaniel sighed, nuzzling into his wife. He loved her so much and didn’t want to die from this dumb illness. He kissed her on the cheek again. “Alright. You can call someone to bring food. They know my favorites.” He pressed his cheek against her hand, his skin hot and clammy to the touch. “Since you became my wife. The king and queen get a private study!”
(Hate to be a bother, but you accidentally posted the same response twice. One before my reply and one after my reply)
(Oh that's weird lol sorry)
(You're good. Sometimes electronics just don't like us lol)
Ember nuzzled his nose against hers with a little giggle before kisseing him on the head and slipping out of the bead "ill be right back dear im just going to get the servant she she can get you food."
Nathaniel giggled along with her, pressing his warm forehead against hers. He almost purred as she kissed him, but he whined like a dog when she slipped out of bed. He didn’t want her to leave, but he knew it was in his best interest—Especially since he need to eat desperately.
Ember smiled a little as his disappointment "ilm only be a few minutes i swear to it." And with that she was out the door on her way to wherever the servant was
Nathaniel watched her slip out of the room, whining as she left. “Don’t be too long dear.” He laid back down, the ceiling spinning around him. He started to shiver from the cold, his hair sticking back to his forehead. It was really dreary without his dear wife. Meanwhile, in the hall, a servant was climbing up the stairs with food for the king on a small try. While most of it look unappetizing, it contained all the nutrients a sick demon may need. The servant saw Ember walking down the hall and shied away, holding the tray out in front of her.
Ember chuckled a little at the way he was acting and began on her way down the hall stopping when she saw the lady "oh hello you wouldn't happen to be bringing that to Nathaniel would you?" She looked a her curiously as she shied away "i- oh om not anyone to be scared of if that's what you're thinking…"
The servant opened an eye cautiously, urging the queen to take the tray. She nodded once she heard Nathaniel’s name, confirming it was for the sick king. One Ember took the tray, the servant ran down the steps and back into the servants’ quarters.
Ember took the tray carefully and looked down seeming almost sad before she turned slowly and headed back down the hall quietly but in a hurry this part of the palace made her uneasy
Nathaniel turned onto his side, coughing his lungs out. His eyes stung harshly, his hair a mess. It flopped into his eyes, was plastered to his forehead, and looked matted. His face was consumed by fever, his body shaking from whatever wanted to kill him. He longed for Ember.
Ember slipped back into the room quietly and msd her way back up to the bed "Nathaniel..dear are you alright? "
Nathaniel turned to look at Ember, shaking from the cold. “I’m alright. It was just a little cough. I-I’ll be okay.” He sat up and reached out for Ember. He needed her, he wanted her. He didn’t bat an eye to the food she brought him, he only wanted Ember. Nathaniel tried to blow the hair out of his face, but failed.
Ember walked to his side of the bed and sat the tray down on the night stand before climbing into Nathaniels arms "dear you need to eat please, soup it's warm please try and eat it."
Nathaniel smiled pulling Ember into a tight hug. “I love you.” He muttered, not letting her go. He kissed the top of her head, his shivering ceasing for the time being. “Alright..I’ll try to dear..” He closed his eyes, heading leaning against the headboard. He let out a damning cough and groaned.
Ember held him back nuzzling her head into the crook of his neck "i love you too dear….and thank you i appreciate that-" she paused when he leaned his head back wincing out of sympathy "dear…are you alright "
Nathaniel’s grip on Ember loosened. He looked awful, to say the least. Another cough rattled his bones. “I’m alright, sweetheart. Just another symptom..” He paused, looking at the food. He might as well eat it. “I’m worried that you might catch the illness.. I heard getting sick during a pregnancy can hurt a child.” He frowned, worry written all over his face. He hugged his wife tightly before closing his eyes and falling asleep from weakness. He would eat later.
Ember held him close kisseing him on the neck lightly "okay just ket me know if you need anything…..please im worried about you." She buried her face in his chest taking a deep breath "illl be fine dear you wont get me sivk me and the child will be okay i promise. "
Nathaniel stirred from the kisses she gave him on the neck, smiling from the constant affection. “Alright.” He murmured. “I’ll be fine. Nothing will happen to be.” He pressed Ember closer to him, leaning into her. “I just worry about you to. You don’t need illness. A mother doesn’t need to suffer through illness.” He sunk into the bed, snuggling his wife. “I wanna be a dad already. Why do kids take long time to develop?” He inquired half asleep.
Ember couldn't help but laugh as Nathaniel spoke "well dear..im growing a child in my stomach id say ni e months isn't lat long and its only been a couple days don't rush it your going to miss these times. "
Nathaniel whined in his drowsy state, reaching over to take a drink of the blood his servant gave him. He put the cup to his mouth and drank a few sips of it before putting it back. “Why would I miss these times? Is it because I’ll miss snuggling with you alone without being interrupted by my kiddo? But I find nine months to be too long. I wanna see the adorable kids we make.”
(I love him hes so precious 🤧)
Ember laughed a little and kissed his cheek "yes thats precisely what i meant your gonna miss time alone. "
(The king of hell being call precious <3)
Nathaniel nuzzled Ember's cheek, trying to keep himself awake. He moved Ember to her side, so he could put the try of food in his lap. "I would probably miss the alone time. I love our alone time." He looked down at the mushy stew served to him. He picked up the spoon and scoop some of the contents on it. Nathaniel took the bite, immediately putting his spoon down and placing the tray back on the nightstand. He had no appetite. "But I want to see my kiddo already. But I can wait nine months. The last nine months we get alone." He smiled, laying back down.
