“Oh,” Alexei heartily laughed, perhaps a little to loud for the quiet setting, but he quickly silenced himself. He covered his mouth with his arm, glancing off to the side as if to physically watch his volume. “Those make more sense.”
Jack smiled again. "Yes, they do." he replied, leaning against the wall still and watching Alexei. He chuckled a little bit. "But, i mean, your version is good too."
“It is? I’m honored.” He nodded in consideration. “But if you think about it, open sleeve? Vulnerable?” He gestured vaguely to his arm, “It makes sense too, I think.”
He shrugged a shoulder, nodding. "Yes, it does indeed make sense." He replied with a chuckle. He looked at Alexei. "Especially if people have knives or swords or anything."
“Oh,” his eyebrows jumped up, and then down just as quickly. “This is true, like in a duel? Moreso blades than guns.” He nodded approvingly. “I like it, I think it should become a common saying now,” he grinned, only half joking. He leaned a little closer to Jack.
Jack laughed, leaning closer as well. His eyes flicked to Alexei's mouth, lingering there for a moment, then returned to the Frenchman's eyes. "Yes, it should." he agreed in a quiet, smiling voice.
Alexei’s expression softened into an affectionate smile as he caught Jack’s gaze lowering for that moment. He didn’t know what else to do, or what do say, so he leaned forward to rest of the way to press his lips against Jack’s once again.
(Ohh I’ve got a half-baked possible idea for angst: so what if when Jack and Alexei are supposed to meet up later, Alexei doesn’t show up (either because he’s scared of possible feelings or he finds something else to do, idk yet). And somehow Francis is in the general area doing something and sees Jack(?))
Jack met the kiss eagerly, wrapping his arms around Alexei's shoulders, and holding Alexei close. He parted his lips, tilting his head back to deepen the kiss.
(Ooh that might be interesting, yeah)
Alexei cupped either side of Jack’s head in his hands. He seemed more confident now leaning into and returning passionate kisses than he did before, at least a little bit. “I really like you,” he uttered when he briefly pulled away to take a breath.
(Sweet!)
Jack opened his eyes, looking at Alexei. He chuckled softly. "You barely know me, dahling." He replied with a faint smirk.
“I know,” he breathed out a chuckle, twirling a strand of Jack’s hair around his finger. “But I can like the way you look, how you kiss, your hair, the way you talk… the way you taste-“ he closed the distance between their mouths again.
"Mm." Jack parted his lips at the kiss, tongue darting out into Alexei's mouth, tasting the other man. He ran his hands up and down Alexei's back, pulling him closer and closer.
Alexei made a little noise, a mixture of surprise and delight. He buried his hand in Jack’s hair. Unsure what to do with his his free hand, he took a handful Jack’s shirt. His eyes flickered open for but a moment before shutting them tightly again.
Jack kept kissing Alexei, tongue exploring the other male's mouth, hands roaming over Alexei's back and tugging him ever closer.
Alexei leaned forward with each of Jack’s tugs, slowly melting into the kisses with ease. He didn’t have any plans on stopping anytime soon, at least until they had to either when the Opera stopped for intermission, or stopped all together.
Jack leaned back as Alexei came forward, until the young Englishman was laying on his back with Alexei above him, still kissing. He didn't want to let this stop again.
Alexei let go of Jack’s shirt to brace his hand on the ground, eventually lowering to his elbow. Being inexperienced, at least with men, he still seemed a little bit timid and restrained in his actions. He inhaled sharply through his nose.
Jack smiled a little into the kiss, one hand roaming up to run through Alexei's hair, tugging Alexei closer and closer and closer. He looped his legs around Alexei's waist.
Alexei hummed happily Into Jack’s mouth, his own hands trailing to Jack’s shoulders. They slowly rose up to hold the sides of his head, but they didn’t stay in one place for long. He couldn’t keep still, vitalized by a cocktail of thrill and anxiety. If they were to be forced to stop soon, he acted like he wanted to enjoy every second of this.
Jack kept running his hands over Alexei's back, unable to keep his hands still. His hand slipped under the back of Alexei's shirt, pressing to the other male's bare skin.
Alexei inhaled sharply at the contact. He hooked his fingers around the back Jack’s collar, just to hold something else, arching his back slightly. But as time drew on, he seemed to be getting tired and breathing heavier.
Jack kept his hand resting lightly against the small of Alexei's back, and he kept kissing the Frenchman. As he too grew tireder, the kisses grew lazier and softer, less frenzied.
Alexei exhaled a soft, barely audible, moan of contentment. He relaxed slightly more of top of Jack, moving his arms to loosely hug Jack’s shoulders instead of clinging into his shirt. His eyes flickered open briefly, then closed again as he returned the weary kisses.
Jack held onto Alexei gently, eyes closed as he kissed the Frenchman almost lazily, long, soft kisses that lasted.
Alexei returned the kisses until he couldn’t anymore. He lost track of time, eventually having to pull away and catch his breath. He looked tiredly back down at the Englishman.
