That's grim…
I'll have to go with injured severely by an explosion and then dragged to a secluded corner by your best friend and tell her to run and that she can come back and save everyone by lying to her about a time loop and then dying shortly after she leaves because the time loop was fake and it was all so you could just save her because you care about her so much crushed by a falling bookcase! Whoopsie put one of the actual character deaths from my story in there!

@time-is-a-circle

((imma revive this cuz every author needs a death list they can go to without being arrested))
Having their eyes ripped out and bleeding to death/the wounds getting infected and they die from that

Sounds cool (and very scary) I personally have no completely evil characters. Like my villain is just doing what he believes to be the right thing but in the process is destroying the lives of thousands of people. Darling boy just needs to get a little common sense, that's all.

@PrettyLittlePyro

… Does common sense even exist, though? I mean, so many characters - and people in general - are idiots. I think common sense may be a myth XD

Random author question:
How many characters have you killed off and nearly cried doing so?

So far? Just two; Connor Flayme and Oliver Darker. Both characters are elder brothers to the protagonist for their individual stories, and had similar relationships with their younger brother to the one I have with my elder brother.

@soupnana group

Oh wow yeah that could definitely hit hard. I hate killing off characters but at the same time it's soooo fun to just destroy the readers emotions. Bwhahahaha

@time-is-a-circle

One time I was going to kill a character but I fell in love with her and was thinking up alternate ways to equally decimate the mc without killing the character.
I abandoned the story later cuz I have no sense of dedication but

@Relsey-TheElder

Oh um… I kill a lot of characters, I cry every time, even if it's the bad guy, they're happy tears.
The two saddest character deaths are Cador and Crina, they are the older siblings of my main character, Azizia, I just adore them. It was slow and painful, also they died from this parasite that kills your brain in order to take over the body, it doesn't always work but it worked on Cador so my little baby Azizia had to kill the parasite but you can only do that by making the body unusable, basically she had to stab her own brother in the heart. It was really sad, I cried, she cried, it was bad.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Killing characters and then crying over their deaths is one of my favorite pastimes. My sister always asks me why I kill them, and why I don't just let them come back to life.

I really don't know the answer to that XD

@Althalosian-is-the-father book

Resurrection as a trope has to die. (Pun very much intended.) I've done only one for certain I think. (I'm still thinking about Elena coming back as a ghost.)
I never cry when I kill a character. But the one that effected me the most was probably Nathaniel because I love him so much. I once started low-key moaning in class that he had to die and I couldn't do anything to stop it.
But when they must die they must die.

@soupnana group

I’ve yet to actually cry but I came pretty darn close when I wrote this one scene for the death of my MC’s best friend. They find his rotting corpse and it’s heartbreaking because he lied to her so she could survive and when she came back to get him he was a feast for insects. Really disgusting and awful
Anyone curious this is he.

It hurts to look at this drawing cause I became so attached
