"Caroline? Come on, you just said you trusted me…" Brad pleaded with her over the line.

"Thomas" she said

There was silence on the other end, but only for a moment. "What's going on, that you aren't telling me?" He asked softly.

"Brad everything's fine " she promised

"No, it's not. You go to Thomas when you think you can't tell me something. It's obvious Caroline." He whispered burying his face in his hands.

" no! I go to Thomas when break down crying in the rain" she argued back

"And why were you crying?" He asked softly, sucking in a deep breath.

"why.do.you.care!?" She asked

"My point is proven. I care because you're my girlfriend Caroline. I feel like you don't understand that. It's frustrating not being able to feel like the other trusts you." He continued to speak softly, trying to bite back his snarky comments. "If you aren't going to talk to me, I'm going back to bed. There's no point staying up, if you won't tell me what's going on."

"fine I don't care I'm not coming back anyway" she said harshly

“W-What? I- Caroline?” He asked weakly, not sure why she was so mad at him. He had avoided raising his voice, and was still doing so.

What?" She aksed

"What are you talking about? Where are you going?" He asked softly, sound of shuffling following afterwards.

"You mean to tell me you're leaving? For good?" Brad was heart broken, he wasn't sure he could do it if she left.

"I'm going to come home and we're gonna talk" she said

"Are you mad at me?" He asked, not seeming to think it was fair if she was.

"no I'm not mad I'm just upset not at you just upset" she said

"I- I guess I'll wait to ask until you get back… please come home soon, I'm worried about you.." Brad whispered, beginning to pull the phone from his ear.

" I love you" she muttered

"Love you too… bye." Following his goodbye, the dial tone came as he had hung up.

She looked at Thomas " I'll pick you up tommorow early…can you put my tea in a to go cup" she asked

"You're not staying?" He asked her pausing in his tea pouring. "Is everything alright?"

"did you want me to stay" she asked a piece of hair failing in her face
