I have a petty, bitchy, and kind of vulgar rant so be warned:

I'm so fucking sick of fandoms and shipping in general these days. Some dickwad came after me on Pinterest because I said I shipped Laurens and Peggy, and called me a homophobe. Me. A known asexual and lover of women because damn they're beautiful. And you know what? I ship Lams too. I only ship Laurens and Peggy (and I don't ship them that much, they're not my OTP or anything) because Jasmine and Anthony were dating and are now engaged. And furthermore, I'm shipping the musical counterparts, not the historical figures. And it drives me nuts when antis come onto and leave hate comments on ships they dislike. Like, I'm here for quality Jeggy and Finnrose content, not to see rabid Lams and Stormpilot shippers dragging a ship.
Shippers need to calm the ever-loving fuck down and not harass people over romances between fictional characters and get their shit together.

Ugh… I'm not going to go on a full-on vent about it, but I can't tell you how annoying the words "Subscribe to PewDiePie" have gotten for me. I spend so much time on these drawings that people usually only look at for a few seconds, so people taking the time to say they enjoy it makes me smile. But when I open those notifications to see what people think of my creations, I expect something that'll either boost my confidence or help me improve, so when I see a comment that just says "Sub to Pewds", I only slightly die on the inside.

Hey, Vocaloid fans! Fun fact: The characters are just voices. Just because I don't ship two female character designs with no personality or chemistry (Miku x Luka) doesn't mean I'm a homophobe! I know, it's hard to believe.

Or because I ship Finn and Rose, who have actual set up and kiss, over Finn and Poe! I'm in general a shipper of not super popular ships like Scarlet/Winter, Finn/Rose, Rey/Ben (different from Rey/Kylo, which I don't really ship), Lux/Ahsoka, Barriss/Ahsoka, Satine/Obi-Wan, Jyn/Bodhi/Cassian.
I'd just like to be able to say 'I ship Poe and Kaydel Konnix because of Poe's status as Leia's adopted son and Kaydel being played by Carrie's irl daughter' without people being all like 'OMG Poe is gay!!!! U homophobe!!!111!!!'.
Also Poe is pan

You know what makes my blood boil? People who say that “oh you’re so talented” when you know it’s from practicing, and you can’t even do somethings of that thing right after 3 years.

It gets worse when they say that they "could never do it," and "you have a gift" when you say that it is just practice/experience/its not that hard/ you could do it too…

YES! I hate people who say “oh you draw so good, I wish I could draw like that!” And you just want to say, “one, no I’m not, I suck at anatomy, and two, it took me 3 years to get this far! Drawing is not a talent it’s a skill you acquire from hard effort!”

Same with writing, and dancing, and singing, ect. It takes PRACTICE. NOT TALENT. It might come easier to some than it does to others… BUT IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANNOT LEARN!!!!

So it ca be harder for others to master certain skills. And some just… well… don't. But that doesn't mean you can't.

UPDATE: My best friend is also getting sick of it so now every time someone says "Sub to Pewds" we're going to go to their profile, find their favorite drawing and comment "Sub to Troom Troom" just to mess with them. This is a level up from our past ways of just calling PewDiePie dumb whenever we have the chance.

I would as welll…. this is a reason why I don’t have the confidence to join something like Deviantart, and I don’t want my art traced or stolen….

You should try putting yourself out there! As annoying as those comments are, they only take up a small percentage of the ones I recieve, and if you sign your art in a place that’s not easily cropped out you should be safe from art thieves. It’s also extremely helpful to start putting your art online, I’ve learned quite a bit from my PaigeeWorld friends and it’s actually boosted my confidence seeing all the nice comments from people. You don’t have to try it if you don’t want to, but if you do then start with PaigeeWorld. The community is pretty small so you don’t have to worry about art thieves as much, and I can give you a shoutout so you can start gaining followers.

I'm not an artist, but would like to add that if you don't do that it's fine, because they're the ones missing out on your great artwork! Either way you'll shine! Just do what you feel comfortable with.

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

reading this is as I’m watching PewDiePie and writing a paper on him

Again, I don't mind PewDiePie himself or his fans, heck NerdECrafter is a fan of him and she's possibly my favorite Youtuber ever, I just don't like getting comments telling me to subscribe to him on my artwork
