I know what you mean, Faraday got laughed at in school and was utterly pathetic there, but excelled in the scientific field, and yes, thinking outside the box is also key to cleverness, which is a part of intelligence. As for mathematically inclined, I don't think it's too narrow, there are so many types of mathematics, and mathematical-logical intelligence is a type of intelligence that is classified in the theory of multiple intelligences, as is verbal-lierary. Now, by mental function, I mean how much information your mind can gather, store, and access, and how quickly and efficiently it can do this. And it's true that people are all very intellectually diverse, but I'm talking in general, not y'know, being intellectually perfect, but at the very least above average, versatile, and having a bit of variety in there. I believe that creativity and intelligence are two sides of the same coin, much like most of the options up here, but I believe that there is something that separates certain aspects of the two. And also, yes ma'am, I actually know a few people who are geniuses in some areas, but completely useless in others, it's how we humans work. Nobody is a nigh all-mastering supergenius like rick Sanchez or Dexter, otr all of the ones in kids' cartoons, but again, I'm going for a well-rounded type of intelligence, that encompasses several subcategories.
