Almost 9 AM, vibin' in English class and talking about Lord of the Flies, which I'm happy about because it's my favorite classic

Oh god I hated that book. No offense or anything, your preferences are your preferences, but it was just really hard for me to follow for some reason.

It is hard to follow, but if you're rereading it and have an English teacher and an entire class answering questions about the book, you understand lots more lmao

…I did and that just confused me further tbh. My teacher wasn't the best at explaining and my class takes literally nothing seriously

We read Antigone, it was fun. The class made fun of it, but I enjoyed it. I like greek literature.

Rereading Frankenstein for the like 80th time this quarantine and its fucking me uuuuup. So I was eating outside because none of my friends share my lunch period, and some stranger Trumpettes got cranky that I was sitting on the one picnic table and their friends had already filled up the only other table so they said "let's just sit on the grass" before eventually deciding to sit by me.
"Whatever, I'm just gunna sit by this kid who has no idea we're here"
(I have my headphones on, watching Unus Annus)
So I said "I can hear you,"
Que the whispers of
"Oh he can hear us? Can he hear us? Did he hear that?"
Which was… misgendering but nicer than normal because I'm AFAB and it was cool that a whole group of probably transphobes (i don't mean to judge them, but with certain people you can just tell) perceived my voice as masculine enough to make them use the he/him pronoun.
Anyway I eat my lunch as quick as I can but during that time they called something "gay" in a derogatory way, then one of the girls said "you know what's gay?" And I think they pointed at me, but I know for sure they all just stiffled laughs. I didn't care to look up because the Holy water episode of Unus Annus is hilarious.
Anyway that's my first or second time being perceived as a gay man 👍

Huh. That is a strange experience and I hope that you do not have to encounter people like that again. I will not allow people to put this community down! (I'm over-dramatic and somewhat protective. Sorry.)
