It's totally fine. Honestly, I think my entry was a bit generic because I keep dancing around the fact that I'm exclusively a fanfiction-writer. So I have to ask, if my next entry is fanfiction, is that allowed?

If you used a character from something else, then it wouldn't need really be yours, right?
I use original characters in everything I do. But it's in a setting taken from something else
Let me give you a perfect example: in my entry for the last competition, I had to omit certain things because I didn't feel comfortable admitting that it's all fanfiction, such as who actually wrote the letter
@AmmyPajammy, so the character that interrupts your life must be your character, but it could totally be from another genre. For instance, your character could be someone who is in love with Harry Potter and an Auror and all that jazz, but Harry Potter cannot be in your entry.
Ok, that's all I needed to know. My entry will be an original character, so don't worry about that. The adventures of Lady Conarith and her merry band of children are all original works.
