Noice.
Noice.
And then there's another story set in 2031 about a teacher who has developed psychic abilities. He has visions of some psychopathic nutjob torturing and murdering his students in amazingly horrific ways as the murders are happening, and takes it upon himself to stop the dude. Along with him is a cop working undercover as a teacher, the school's principal who has telekinesis, and his neighbor who is teaching him to control his new abilities.
The neighbor is also a psychic.
Sweet!
So, what are your characters like?
(Oh, this chat sounds fun)
Levi, the teacher, is a serious person, but also very friendly. He's an ambivert that also suffers from depression. He actually cares about his students (their well beings and futures), and wants to help foster their talents as their Art and Lit teacher.
Clownface is a homicidal maniac that is up for anything. He enjoys the sight of blood, torturing people, and seeing others in pain. Quick to anger, he is known to take his anger out on his victims.
Oh hecc Dice and Clownface would probably be the best murder duo ever-
Dice: I wanna meet this Clown boy, he sounds quite…. condemning.
I don't wanna know what you mean by that booboo.
Dice: You know ya do, Leukocyte!
Call me that again and I'll- 😡
How do y'all go about writing characters who are evil/monstrous/otherwise very antagonistic and don't have a relatable motive? I'm trying to figure out my big bad. A lot of people on his side have a good reason for joining, but I do want a few pure evil people in there, including the leader of the antagonists.
Hm, I mostly just pour all of my homicidal thoughts into one character, put on a villainous song, and wear dark colors.
I'm literally incapable of thinking how I want this villain to think lmao. I'm way too soft and empathetic, so it really is a difficult task. Like what I do know is that he has a son, who is horribly messed up because of him, but that's about all so far.

I'm not sure how he'd feel about working with someone else. He's likely to stab anyone in the back!
Okay so I actually need help with something. One of my characters is stuck playing a double life, on the good side he's playing a quiet healer, and on the "bad" side he plays a fricken badass General, that will whip you into shape faster than you can say supercalifragilistickexpealidosious. And I've been playing with him a bit, trying to decide if he should die at the end so that he can finally rest after over 80 years of fighting a war. Or if he just kind of disappears at the end where no one can find him so I can follow the story up with a seaqual type thing following him. I want to know what you would like reading more. A war torn general/healer finally getting to rest, or a badass fighter traveling the lands helping people as he goes. (That's what he would do if I followed up with the seaqual idea.)
Personally, I'd go for the latter…. Write for yourself. Do what makes you happy.
See the thing is I would be happy with both. Which is why I ask what you guys would prefer to read.
So you're counting votes to make your decision? Interesting!
I've done a coin flip for the psychic teacher murder story to decide for me before, and was pleased with the result! Lol
This is an excerpt from it, and is where I did a coin toss for my choice.
"How about I let a coin decide on what I should use to cut off your leg? If it lands on heads I'll use the knife, but if it lands on tails I'll use the chainsaw. If it somehow lands on the side I'll let you keep your leg." Clownface fished a quarter from his pocket, balanced it on his thumb and finger, and flipped it. Liby watched as the coin turned in the air, and plummeted toward the floor. Clownface walked to where the coin landed on the floor, and bent down to pick it up. He put it back in his pocket, and walked over to the chainsaw.
I have a very complex story coming together and I really want people to like it, but I'm not sure. One thing I am sure of though is that I put the "Pro" in "Pro"crastination. So this might not happen for a while yet.
Mine all have a LOT of different plotlines and characters so they're pretty difficult to describe….
Ohhh @The_Warrior you could always try to make it more open-ended if you wanted and decide later whether you want to follow up on it or not. I honestly love both endings, but I also prefer the latter of the two, I think.

I know Clownface's motives, one of them being enjoyment. The other one, the main one, is something that I don't want to give away because it's also one of my big plot twist points…. If you wish to, go ahead and pm me, I'd be delighted to help!
Hey,what are the weirdest outfits your characters have ever worn?
Even though it actually makes sense for him, Clownface wears a white onesie jumpsuit, a tattered rainbow wig, and a mask made from different pieces of his first victims faces that are all from different clowns.
That….. is fucking legendary. Dice might dress like either a cryptid hooker or in Dante's stolen clothes with the sleeves torn off, or clothes from the corpses he made, or drag. Or literally anything else it just has to be weird.
Robin has a belt that has a bunch of tiny vials and bottles hanging from it so they can hoard shiny things.
