Everyday I take a moment
Thinking, sitting her, missing you
Everyday I take a moment
Thinking, sitting her, missing you
I sob and sob until I can’t no more
still stroking the pineapple dinosaur
Remember the days when we thought he was real
Lies that are burdened up on us now that we're old
Desperate for our old days of youth
So we can unlearn what we were taught
To live once again carefree and oblivious
So far away from what could mar our minds
Daring to dream grandma might not return
Never seeing the day when she doesn't
@snowflake_castiel, do you know the rules for this poem? You're supposed to start each line with the letter the previous line ended with. (Wow okay I sound really harsh and hateful there. How do I make this sound not harsh and hateful? I swear it's not meant to be harsh and hateful!)
Time ticks away on the clock on the wall
Laughing, mocking as I watch it go by
@alice it's all good! Rules are meant to be broken! <3
Yelling at ducks who fly on by
Yelping as they steal all my French fries
I'm sorry! I'll shut up now. :)
Soaring through the sky
The ducks eat my food and laugh
@alice Oh, for some reason, I thought it was a rhyming thing. You didn’t seem harsh and thanks for clarifying. :)
How could they be so rude?
What happened to respect
Too many times I fall to their hate
Even when I know they're wrong
Grandma laughs and strokes her pineapple
Exactly when did she get here, again?
No problem, @snowflake_castiel. Sorry again.
Noon - she replied - that's when I arrived
Don't look so surprised, dear, I keep my own schedule
Except for Sundays
Spoiled milk is gross
Wait what?
Slip a tablespoon in the garden under the lavender leaves
Slosh a bit under the blueberry vines
Simply put these directions will bring you a fairy
Yellow dress and impish smile, she will come to you
Under a blanket she'll give you a bad makeover
Run and hide before she can catch you
Understand that you can run, but you can't hide
Even half way around the world, you she will find
Dress yourself in moldy sheets
Slurp expired pudding every two weeks
She'll eat your teeth,
And everything beneath
Halt the guards
Sit on a lamp
long launched into a bright abyss
siren songs put me to rest
tyrants rule this new found land
delivering each from rushing hands
screaming brought in by faces masked
deceiving eyes, walking tasks
so am i glad ive made it back?
kill the crying
grow from the lack
knowing years lie as a jouney starts
so look at my world and see im smart,
technically autistic thats not my part
teeming with abilities untamed but alert
tiring of, this worlds hurt
tiring wishing i was a bird
kraken's blacken ocean tides
sinking ships and swallowing lives
so see the sea and sink your sins
search for sight and this poem ends
see man-o-wars begin to bend
Dipping souls and leaving a maze
every taste of sea is crazed
delivered from the complete unrest
toiled and spoiled
delivered from a world's test
to pity me plant it in my chest
to mark the spot just leave an X
xylophagous tentacles consume
every sailors, gangplank to doom
move on my boys, and in heaven make room
hope these are alright, love you all and love writing thanks! :)
@Crow I think that is beautiful! Nicely done! <3
More to write, I'll leave it for another day
Yawns tug at my lips, time to sleep for tonight!
Tomorrow brings more ideas for use to share
Every share brings a new beginning
Grandma says new beginnings are great
Take it or leave it, kid
