@Jilly.G

What is the first thing you notice when you look around you in public settings? is it the abounding nature that is all around or the crazy interactions between others? Probably not. All around us technology has consumed our lives. It is in every grocery building and museum, every home and school, it is having consumed our lives and it is all we have known. technology and the internet, in general, have made up a huge part of our lives in America and our growing culture. How much of our lives is centered around technology though?
In a 2016 economic release, it states that those watching television alone that the average American watches around two hours per day. Another website explains that young adults and teens spend eight and a half to nine hours a day on social media such as Instagram, twitter,
Snapchat, YouTube, and Facebook. during the whole week, teens use over thirty-two hours of their week on their phones. To most teenagers, their whole lives revolve around their phones. They get access to school supplies online, they keep in contact with distant friends and have the great wealth of knowledge ever right at their fingertips. Social media is a place where they share their lives and accomplishments within pictures and videos, hoping for recognition for their achievements that they may not get anywhere else. It is just like a Schools "open house,” but instead of one night a year, the youth share with the world and sometimes brighten others day.
It is often heard that older generations complaining about this newer generation because all of them just stare at their phones, but it has helped grow and expand our understanding of things that once would take hours to learn. Our generations culture has severely changed since when our grandparents were in school. Instead of carrying around heavy school books we can access them online. with a tap of a button, we can order whatever we want without having to go on a scavenger hunt all around malls and grocery stores in hopes to find one thing. If we have questions on something we simply go and ask professionals online instead of getting a half-baked answer from those who may not know themselves. Technology and the internet have made it possible for people who could not graduate able to get their diploma just like others. It has made cars safer and more reliable than older versions, and it helps those who have issues by giving them a place to meet and talk to each other without even leaving home.
The internet has become such a big part of the rising generation that some people even make the internet their source of income. All over the world people have grabbed a camera and just started posting on a website called YouTube. YouTube is now part of the huge internet community and for so many teenagers it can mean the world for the YouTubers they have subscribed to post a new video. Many YouTubers are a source of inspiration and comfort to teenagers. From Markiplier, Shane Dawson, Rebecca Parham, to Daniel Howell and Phil Lester, these people have changed their viewers lives in very special ways. In sharing their whole life on the internet, they show teenagers that they can do whatever they want with their lives. Inspiring them to learn how to animate for a living or speak for a cause and have their voices heard.
Technology is an amazing thing. It makes all the comforts in our lives possible. it would be very hard to go without any technology for a whole week. Not just internet but AC, lights, cars, and even bathrooms. Technology and the internet have become such a huge part of the growing American generation and it is a great privilege to have such power at our fingertips. For most kids’ lives they have grown up with technology and it has become the center of their lives and maybe that is not a bad thing.

This means that it can be punished by at least 12 months imprisonment, fines and probation, among other sentences. The base sentence for involuntary manslaughter under federal sentencing guidelines is a 10 to 16 month prison sentence, which increases if the crime was committed through an act of reckless conduct.
