I did a novena to St. John the Apostle focusing on friendship, and I think it helped me be a better friend/value friendship more. I think I might do another one for his feast day.

Every other day during my free period I speed run my online classes, prayers I want to get in, read a witchy book, and take notes on it

I grew up Baptist, so my doctrine is pretty much the same, but I don't have the strict lifestyle. I don't really adhere to 'traditional' Christian Mysticism? 'Mystic' was the only term I found that I felt described what I was XD My daily practice is very witchy inspired, but I still worship the God of the Bible. It's super fun!

Greetings to you all, this is my first post on this thread. I’m a quiet witch, but, since it’s October, I figured I’d finally say something.

I’m still a bit new to it, honestly, but mainly in regard to supplies and how to use them. I’m a sucker for crystals and cards, and have a lot of both (only poker cards though). I have some other things like that, but I do not have an altar (do I need one? I don’t know) and I have no adequate quiet place to practice (which is probably the source of my problems considering).

Now, to the mentioned problems, I have a lot of issues in regard to procrastination/boredom (it’s ridiculous, and has ruined many days for me) and I’m wondering if there’s anything I could do to change it. Also, I’ve been having mild bouts of bad luck recently, but I’m thinking it might be connected to this ridiculous boredom thing.

Now, I know boredom is more of a common nuisance thing that everyone suffers, but still, I need something, anything, to inspire it to leave me be for once (I get bored ridiculously fast). Any advice would be appreciated, whether it’s witchy or not.

And yes, I’m pretty sure taking a walk would likely help, but I’m too paranoid to do it. Primarily because I’m near too many people, but I also hate the feeling that I’m being watched, and that feeling has followed me around for years. And I have encountered ghosts before, but I don’t know if that’s what this sensation is.

I don't think you need an alter, but it would be nice to have one. I just cleared off a shelf, put my crystals, playing cards, and a candle for the deity I worship on there and then cleared like a two foot space in front of it for me to sit

I’ve been debating the altar for a while, but I don’t worship any deities (at least, in the usual sense) and I just don’t have the room for it. I don’t have a book of shadows, or any sort of spellbook at all (not sure how to start). And right now, the weather isn’t very accommodating for opening a window, and the uplifting effect usually lasts only while the window is open.

Considering all that, I probably need some sort of heavy duty cleansing at this point (candles help temporarily, but I otherwise have no clue what to do).

I do most of my cleansing with sage. If you have a natural health store or metaphysical store nearby, they should have sage bundles. If you can't find any (or can't burn the sage because of your environment) you can do it energetically on your own. I also have a large painted hand fan I use to move energy and clear. Also make sure you clear and charge your crystals (putting them in the sun is a super easy way). I learned most of what I know from searching stuff on Google and reading books from my library.

You could also use room spray! You might be able to find ones specifically for cleansing online, but if you can't get one of those, nothing is stopping you from using some fabreeze with some intention!
