Give me some reasons to.

It includes female empowerment, beautiful story telling, feeling, Tom Hanks, and realistic characters

What do you mean by female empowerment. (There are a lot of “empowered female” characters who are just flat and obnoxious so that’s why.)

It’s about women playing baseball because all the men are at war during WWII.

Also every character is pretty well-rounded and gets development, even though they all start off as stereotypes in a way. They all have depth. Awesome baseball scenes and dancing scenes. It's also hilarious.

@Althalosian-is-the-father book

Unlike literally every other Christian movie, Prince of Egypt had people working on it who knew what they were doing. The result is incredible cinematography, acting, animation, music, characters, and so much more

Yes! I am a Christian, but Christian movies! Ugh.
This is something all media people need to figure out. When the story is all about one thing (“We’re Christian!”) instead of the story taking it’s natural course, the story suffers. That goes for everything. Doesn’t matter what belief is incorporated.
That is why I get so pissed off with token women or black people etc. They are far more concerned about what is proper and what has a chance of bringing money in and gaining popular approval because it’s “correct”!
Yeah sorry about the rant.

@Mercury Beta Tester

The Poseidon Adventure (1972 version, the other versions are bad. Also this is a rare case where the film is much better than the book)

Look up 'Summertime Christmas' if you want a cringey Christian movie.
It's why the Dove Seal doesn't impress me at all.

Yeah as a Christian who also happens to be a writer and artist, I prefer creating media that contains Christian values rather than having the entire focus being on the fact that it's Christian. It allows me a lot more creative freedom, kind of like what C.S. Lewis did with the chronicles of Narnia, but the symbolism is a little less on-the-nose.

Prince of Egypt anyone? (Idk if that counts.)

I looked it up and it’s 20 years and 1 day old

Wow, I got this thread up mere days before the anniversary. I don't know if that's just a coincidence or this was actually some calculated scheme created by the CIA.
