@LittleBear group
@Jensen-rs… that was odd
@Jensen-rs… that was odd
Yeah…
I am the confuse but okay
@Jensen-rs
Wait, was it only up to 800 or 900 words??? For some reason I thought the limit was 1000, I'm so sorry. I was going to check when I was writing it last night, but I still couldn't get into that chat, so… I'm sorry!
It's alright! It might've been 1000, I honestly can't remember. I won't disqualify you, I know you didn't mean for it to happen.
I thought it was 850-900 but idk. I have gotten confused about this
I'm sorry my guys
That's ok! Let's just say the limit is 1000, then. I think everyone will probably somewhere under or around that, so I'm pretty sure that makes sense. Don't stress about it, man!
Yeah, we'll go with that because for now there's no way to check the other chat to confirm.
@Masterkey were you going to help judge?
Yeah. I mean that makes sense. It's not your fault Jensen I'm just being a dense moose today lol
No lol it's fine
I think there were one or two other judges, but I don't know who they are. Someone might want to go find @Masterkey in case they don't get that message, Jensen.
Yeah that'd be a good idea. I'll do my part of the judging for now and try to find the others.
Alright, I've finished my part of the judging :D I can tell you guys what I came up with (I've got my own scoring system for writing lol) or we can all wait until all of the judges have a chance to read the stories and discuss them.
It'd probably be best to wait to see what the other judges say. I'm as curious as the next person, but full results might be better for everyone :) I'm so excited!!! Everyone did really good!
Yeah, they definitely did. I was very impressed, you guys are good writers :D
@Jensen-rs, Have any of the original judges surfaced?
I haven't seen @Masterkey but I might be able to get one of my irl friends to help judge after school today
Oh yeah forgot to mention that my entry is basically almost all dialogue, so I wrote the writing equivalent of people talking, including accent and dialect. Sorry about that
Yeah I get that it's just… cOMMAS
No one speaks in one fluid sentence and I didn't want to overuse ellipsis
I know that nobody speaks in a fluid sentence, but still… punctuation, my dude
but normal punctuation is boring lol. i kinda maybe hung it out a window a little
@RedEeveestar
I kind of agree a little bit with Jensen. Punctuation is pretty necessary, even when people are speaking. I hope you don't take this as a sign of offense! Your writing is certainly intriguing, and it definitely fits the Guide idea you were going for. The only thing I'd say about it, outside of what I already have, is that it might be considered, as you said, more dialogue than one cohesive, descriptive story with figurative language and the like. That's not a bad thing at all.
