Don't apologize, Mir. You look adorable.

Shut up.
Noooooooo.

Not my face, but the sun hit my altar really nicely the other day–
I'm in the process of reorganizing it, which is why it looks messy and empty right now.
I'll happily answer any questions about it :)

Question: what's the alphabet circle thing for (sorry I don't know the name ha)?

No problemo!
That's a sigil wheel. I put mine on my wall because I actually think it's pretty.
So, assuming you know what a sigil is, we make them using sigil wheels.
When I make sigils, I write out a present-tense statement (for example, "I am one with nature"), then I cross out all the vowels and repeating letters, and line up the remaining letters (which would be "mwhr"). Then I use the sigil wheel to connect those letters in order, creating a symbol.
After I charge it, it's done!

I mean all of it. Your whole ceremony(?). + I don't know what sigils are.

My whole altar?

What ceremony?

I suggest doing your own research on sigils. Interesting stuff. And I love them, so much.

@berlioz

I think the question is why do you make a symbol, how do you charge it, and what's the purpose after that?

you still never told us what the eggshells do

Eggshells have a few different uses, but I use mine as Cascarilla Powder. Good for cleansing and protection.

Ah!
So, I'm going to start with the charging part because that's the first step after making one. I usually charge mine with moonlight and/or sunlight.
Again, I suggest looking into some of this stuff yourself, but in the past sigils were used to represent general entities any ritual/practice might summon. The uses/meanings have evolved since then. While sigils are believed to have magickal powers (and I can definitely say that I believe they do), I myself believe just having a visual reminder of your goals is great for manifestation (and nobody else will know what it means, which makes it easy to have in public while keeping the intention private.) That kind of explains the purpose too, I think.

@berlioz

Hmm interesting. I know a lot of Wiccan beliefs are based in Celtic tradition. My family is Celtic, so I find it interesting seeing people carry it on. I'll definitely learn some stuff on my own. Thx Mir.
