Fun Fact #138:

The streptococcal virus can be passed on to any orifice of the body if it makes oral contact. In other words, don't eat your partner out if you have a sore throat. EVER. They will thank you profusely for this.

Fun Fact #139:

Fun Fact #143

The rate at which new stars are being made is slowing down compared to a few billion years ago, and eventually, no more new stars will be made. This of course, will be many many MANY years from now so don't worry.

Fun Fact #144

There is a theory called the Big Crunch in which the rapid and eternal expansion of the universe reverses and crushes everything within it. This is actually part of a bigger theory which speculates that the universe is on a constant cycle of expanding and contracting.

Fun Fact #145

The myth that carrots improve your eyesight was started by the British during one of the world wars (I don't remember which) because when they started shooting down Nazi planes in the dark, they claimed that their soldiers ate lots of carrots, giving them super sight. (Spoiler alert, it was because they developed radar. Not the carrots) They chose carrots because carrots weren't rationed and were plentiful. They do contain a vitamin (maybe? Not sure if it's a vitamin) that strengthens your cornea, but in a lot of countries, there's no deficiency of this (vitamin?), so it doesn't really do anything for the people in most countries. (I say most because I'm not sure which. It might not even be most. I know that the US is one, though)

You don't know which world war this was propagated in? Which world war was the one with Nazis in it?

Disappointed history nerd sigh
It was World War 2. The one with Nazis. And when we had the tech to shoot down planes in the dark. Planes weren't used until the end of WW1.
