I hate the idea that if your good at academics and studying, you cant simultaneously be creative. Like I'm really good at schoolwork but I also do art, theatre, and play several instruments yet I'm not "creative" and since I'm a "gifted kid" my friends automatically label as "the smart one" or a "nerd' and most of them don't know about my creative side.
yall guess whos been working for six months on a story and have nothing done
I did not need to be called out like that
I’ve been working on my current WIP for almost 4 years with no end in sight so don’t feel bad lol
Can't believe I've found this chat. Answering the question on the first post, I'm the kid who has slowly lost any and all motivation over the years when it comes to school thanks to all the pressure put on me to do well.

So am I!
I was doing great up until maybe 4th or 5th grade, when it started to go downhill, and by 6th grade, I was hardly doing anything
I'm still proud of my 6th grade recreation of the explosion of Mt. Vesuvius, though, I used real volcanic ash for that shit and got an A
That's very cool Ash! But I have a question tho. Did anyone here take an AP exam? I just got my scores back, and I am very surprised. I'm not asking you to share scores, I'm just wondering if you thought it was really easy for some reason.
(Though, if you do ask me my score, I will gladly share it. 😊)
I did! I took the AP United States History exam and got a 5.
I took AP Human Geography (which was hell) and I passed the test so that’s good
I had so many breakdowns over that class on god.
My bitch ass took 9 AP classes lmao
I'm taking two AP classes this year and I'm gonna die when we get to AP testing. I've done my best to avoid AP but here we are
They only offered two AP classes last year at my school. This year I think it’s just one which is AP World History so hopefully I’ll like it because I love most history classes.
I was basically told that if I didn’t take a million AP classes I wouldn’t get into the colleges I wanted… And also that they help knock out a bunch of college. Now I know that is untrue. Like maybe half of my courses counted in college?
Im gonna make a promise to myself that i will probally break
Im gonna make a promise to myself that i will probally break
This year im gonna actually study instead of just trying to remember stuff the first time i hear it
I genuinely wish you good luck. It’s a hard habit to break. Heck, I’m 20 and I’m still guilty of it.
Although how does one actually study???
Read over all your notes every day so as the unit goes on you start to memorize stuff, she said as though she actually puts any effort into getting good grades
How do y’all still pass without studying???
My brain puts 100% effort into memorizing facts in class and 0% effort into remembering my mom telling me to do the dishes smh
And I do study, I just have sucky study skills.
