Are we talking about humans in general or like the science behind the human mind or what?

Humans in general. I find it fascinating that despite our intelligence and power we aren't even a fraction of what we could be. And by that I mean our intellectual and moral development isn't happening as fast as it should.

@CoolBeanz

Hmm, define "should." That word implies that there's some sort of universal goal set for all humankind, and not only that, but that there's a time limit on it of sorts.

No. I mean we can be so much faster and more efficient and we could clean everything up and improve the human condition and that of the world. But we don't. We're too busy with corporate greed. Like how the FDA pays our government to get unhealthy non-beneficial drugs passed.

@CoolBeanz

Ah I see. Well I think it's mostly just the fact that we're greedy creatures. Some of us moreso than others of course, but we have the capability for greed and competition, so it would be strange if we never used it.
