If there is a medical reason that it has to be removed, then they will do it. Other than that I think you have to get a court order in some states, or get counselling? It really depends on the region.
This is a travesty.

Idk, I just really like both.
I'd like to be rude to the education system, or at least my school's system.
Looking back, I never really learned how to write. I was given a formula for writing good, cookie-cutter essays analyzing a passage, but I was never taught how to write a compelling story. I was told about alterations and allusions, but I was never told about neat little techniques to use in creative writing, such as sibilance. I was taught the definition of foreshadowing, but I was never taught how to use it.
I never learned how to write.
There are no creative writing classes available to me except one, which I was taken out of because of rescheduling for some fucking reason. And I'm not even sure if you learn how to write creatively.
I was taught to memorize words for kinds of words, random vocabulary—but never the art of writing. Never how to construct a well-thought-out story with characterization, character dynamics, a more-than-basic plotline, pacing, vivid description. I was taught sentence structure, but not how to effectively use it to make a reader feel a certain way—only how to make the writing less monotonous.
So, yeah, when it comes to creative stuff, school is shit at its job :)
