Are there any other band geeks on here? I'm a trombonist and a band geek myself, and I was just wondering if there's any more to meet.

Clarinet!!!!!
Not band, but I do play piano.
Trumpet!!!!!!!!
Hey, I play Euphonium.
@Primnip
Low brass is quite rare at my school. I think there's, like, 7 of us total. 1 tuba (graduating this year, 3 baritone/euphonium, and 3 (good) trombones.
@CorbinB3
At least you have a tuba. And three good trombones. And three euphoniums. There are four of us, not counting the bari sax and bass clarinet. You are lucky.
Do you do marching band?
Our band is very big, we had to actually split it up because we couldn't all fit into the band room anymore. I think total, we have about 300 kids in band, 6 tubas, about 25(?) trombones, 46 trumpets, 12 french horns, 5 bari sax's, 1 bass clarinet, ect (I won't continue, that's too much math for me right now XD).
Oh my gosh… I have no words.
@CorbinB3
Yes, I march.
Same, I march too
I would kill for 25 trombones.
My low brass is small and mostly incompetent.
Having a big low brass section is sometimes useful, other times, they just over-power the rest of the band. Then again, having a lot of brass in general tends to over-power all the woodwinds so I really can't complain because of how big my section is XD
All the brass seems to collectively hate the woodwinds, but my best friend is a flute and it's kind of funny. I never do skip out on hating on woodwinds, though haha.
My Band on a Nutshell:
Trumpets- arrogant and/or stupid
Low Brass- mostly stupid and obsessed with sex jokes (that often involve me and one of the baritones)
Flutes- kind of know what they're doing and secretly hate each other
Clarinets- half rarely know what they're doing and openly hate each other
Alto saxophones- all of them are cool, actually. a little emo
Low reeds- either quiet or incredibly obnoxious
Pit- emo and gay and the closest section of them all
Drumline- obnoxious, arrogant, and kind of idiots
My Band in a Nutshell;
Trumpets-my section messes up a lot, stupid, lots of sexual innuendos which we regularly get in trouble for, also phones and talking to much are major problems, pranks happen often and can turn into prank wars
Low Brass-same as the trumpets, the sections hang out a lot and get along well most of the time, trombones and trumpets get along the best
Flutes-everyone hates each other openly, never talk to each other unless to criticize something
Clarinets-half of them hate each other, the other half talks too much about drama and gossip or are involved in the drama
Alto Saxophones-pretty cool, can be obnoxious but normally really funny
Low reeds-talk to the clarinets a lot, involved in a lot of the drama, create a lot of the gossip
Pit-pretty cool, mostly quiet, a little emo, the one girl in pit is really smart (I don't talk to the others enough to know more about them)
Drumline-stupid, annoying, dumb jokes, never shut up, don't know their music or have their music, don't know what it means when the director cuts the band off
We never get in trouble for sex jokes. The band director laughs at the often.
ALSO-
Drum majors!
Year 1- overly excited
Year 2- terrifying and emo
Year 3- pretty cool, pretty quiet
Clarinet. I love my instrument but hate the directors.
My low brass players either 1) suck, 2) don't play loud enough to matter, 3) actually care and play well or 4) goof off the entire time.
All low brass must just be the same, no matter the school. That goes for almost all sections.
@"Broken Princess"
Hate the directors how?
I am A FLUTE!!!
Trombone! Anyone else?
@Lou ME TOO!!!
