I personally wouldn't count LOTR as YA, but libraries seem to categorize it as one.

I think it was written for young adults back in its day, so that's probably why libraries do that. And tons of young adults still love it, though it really works for all ages (that's what you know is a good book).
btw, who's everyone's favorite character?
Bilbo, no doubt about I just re-read the hobbit for like the sixth time so yeah Bilbo.
BILBO IS SO GREAT. Good choice.
I think my favorites are Merry, Frodo, and Gandalf. And Aragorn and Faramir.
so all the characters?
No no there are like fifty good mains to choose from
only fifty
YAY LOTR FANCLUB!!
YES HOORAY!
Has anyone here done a movie marathon of the extended versions or wants to at some point??
I watched the extended version of two towers. it was so good. I want to see the rest!!
That's the best extended version imo.
I think the time it takes to watch the Hobbit movies and the LOTR movies (extended) would take the same amount of time as it would take to marathon all the Harry Potter movies.
lemme just say… Faramir is bae
thumbs up
Hi! I just found this. Big fan of LOTR. Are we called Tolkienians or Tolkfolk? (I personally like Tolkfolk.)
I've never thought of that, lol
TOLKFOLK ITS OFFICAL
YES! I have all of the extended Hobbit and LOTR movies. The wind lances, and especially the freaking goat calvary, are by far the best. If you ever have time, go look at the deleted scenes that didn't make it into the movie, much less the extended edition, and they are pretty cool. They would have like added an hour to each of the movies…
I'll try and find those!
Do it, it's a real blast to see the iron hills dwarves fight the woodland elves.
It makes me laugh when Dain sees the were-worms and he says "Aww, Come On!" and then he sees the orcs, and his legions of dwarves charge them, and them the elves decide to join in the fun.
So I just found both this place for LOTR fans and the goat cavalry scene. One thing I can say about both: Freaking. AMAZING.
OH, I KNOW. Wait, what website it is? I have an account for one that lets you create a character and lets you place your characters in the timeline of the movies, and you can play there… It lets you do whatever you want, except mess with the main storyline.
