Evander Weylyn's people have no idea what their young king did to defend them when their country was on the verge of defeat. They have no idea how much the young man lost, the monster that he became to keep them safe. They have no idea what he sacrificed for Aven, their country, how he gave up his soul, body, and mind for them.
And he intends to keep it that way.
Someone new has arrived in the palace. Someone who doesn't know not to ask, someone who doesn't know that he doesn't want to talk about it. Someone who keeps asking questions about everything; every little thing, every little strange detail.
Evander is so tired of fighting himself. He is so tired of deflecting questions and hiding how deep the breakage is. How fractured his soul has become. And so when this new person arrives, he isn't sure what to do.
Your character is the new person. They could be an ambassador, visitors from another country, a noble, pretty much anything. I will be Evander. This will be a Romance, it takes place in a fantasy world. It can be straight or gay, i have no preference.

Sparrow picked up a metal rod and twirled it in her hand as she approached the fallen male. "The roles have been reversed dont you think." She smirked. For the first time in 15 years, sparrow saw fear in the old mans eyes. "How does it feel being the one surrounded by enemies, waiting to end you, hmm? Your own cocky attitude has you on your back at the mercy of your old students." She laughed out loud and helped Cyrus stand up, letting him use her as a crutch as they walked closer to Panther. "You killed our friends. Zoe, Eira, Alex, Krista, Zhavia. You kidnapped innocent children and trained them as fighters, stealing their innocence, stripping them of their childhood. You killed our parents then had the audacity to call Cyrus your grandson and take him from his family. You will never be forgiven for these crimes. Not in this life nor the next."
Panther spat at their feet and sat up against the wall. "You're not so innocent yourself. Killing whoever's I told you to without question. You would jump to your own death if I asked. It was the arrival of the witch Zhavia that made you all disloyal and traitorous. All the houses you burned, all the innocent families you cut down. You were not assassins, you were machines of death, programmed to do my bidding." He crackled.
Sparrows hand faltered and the rod slipped from her hand. All the innocents she killed, all the screams of those burning she could hear, flashing before her eyes until she felt dizzy. She picked up the rod and brought it down like a hammer onto his shoulder, Panthers cackle turned into a howl of pain. "The deepest pits of hell call your name, I hope you suffer you fucking son of a bitch." She spat
Ooh i like it! I'll get the template and Evander up ASAP. The template is pretty rough and simple to allow for growth and such in the RP

I like her!! So why is she visiting/staying at the court? Because that reason will decide what I put in the starter
She is a traveller as well as a merchant, who goes by the name BlueJay. She sells homemade things like medicine and food. The money she earns, some of it is used to buy the best materials while the rest is used for personal reasons. She costs many kingdoms and most people recognise her but none know where she comes from or why she has that large scar on her eyebrow. She only talks business with people and likes new people. Mny people only trust her things so they buy quite a bit of her stock which is why she comes prepared with a very, very large stock. She travels with two wagons that hold everything inside.
(Is that ok?)
Hmmm… I'm not sure. I still don't quite see why she would be in the palace? I'm sorry if I'm being really dense and missing something obvious, I'm just really tired
That's fine, it's late here too. I guess she'd be at the palace to try and offer her goods to higher ups for more money
Or
She could be a traveller that no ones knows of. Hiding her face behind her hood. She comes to the castle to find out about her family about whom the only thing she knows is that the Crest is a crescent Moon with a rose and that they had ties to the castle.
Hmmm we could combine the two? Maybe? She's your character so it really is your choice, but i think that combining the two would work if you want to do it
She co.es with goods to sell but is actually here on a mission to learn about her family so that is why she is at the castle.
Something like that?
Yeah that works! Want me to get up the starter, then?
Sure but I'll reply in the morning, its pretty late here
(yeah, it's late for me too, and I'm going to head to bed after posting the starter lol)
Evander sat on the throne. His face looked as if it was set in stone. Unreadable, unmovable. The young king was difficult to read on the best of days. On the days when he behaved the most human, the most normal. But those days were few and far between. The kingdom of Aven didn't see him much. Of course they didn't. The country itself was busy rebuilding from the war that had nearly destroyed it. Everyone was busy. Evander made speeches and such as they were needed, but otherwise the public didn't see much of him. Even the nobility only saw the bare minimum. Only saw him when he was expected to be out and approachable. Otherwise the young king was like a ghost. Impossible to be found unless he wanted to be.
Adrestia looked at the midday sun and sighed. She came here to find answers but it was still far too early to be doing anything now. She plastered a welcoming smile on her face and greeted the next person looking at her things. Talking prices and bartering, bargaining and trading. That was all she did these past few days and she was getting sick if it. She waved to the leaving customer with a smile and sat back down on her stool, fixing her hood avaing so it covered her eyes. She glanced at the sun again and sighed. 'tis going to be a long day.'
Evander got up, walking out of the room and out into the gardens. Everyone in the palace knew not to follow the young king. To leave hum be when he let out a yell, raking a hand through his blonde hair. He let out a soft breath, sitting down cross-legged on the ground and closing his eyes. He tried to relax, tried to calm down. It was difficult for him to, but he knew he needed to. He needed to tame the monster that clawed and roared inside him.
Adrestia smiled and waved to the last customer before finally packing up her things and looking at the castle in the distance. She took her extra things and put them in her wagon before leading the horse to the castle. She looked up and about, trying to figure out a way to get inside.
There was a guard at the palace gate, and he looked at her inquisitively. "Do you need something, miss?" He asked, looking at her carefully.
Evander remained in the gardens for a while, then headed back into the throne room, face blank and eyes distant. He was so tired. So tired of laying awake unable to sleep, of screaming and fighting against his own mind and the demons that circled and circled inside him, with teeth that tore and ripped at his very soul.
"Yes I was wondering if there was any way for me to go inside. I'd like to sell some of my items to the cooks and maids." She said, hoping the guard bought it and would let her leave.
The guard frowned a little. "I see. Why don't you come with me, then?" He asked, gesturing.
Evander sat down on the throne, adjusting his crown and looking around the room. His eyes were a blank grey. For now. It would be seen how long they would remain that way, how long it took before the monster came out to play. Nothing new today. Good. Nothing to catch us by surprise. He sometimes thought of himself in the multiple like that, and half the time didn't even catch it.
Asresria kept a smile on her face and walked beside a man, keeping her smaller wagon in a slow but steady pace. "Where are we headed?"
