Damian sighed dramatically, but gave up for the time being. “Can we at least see the bunlits?”
Damian sighed dramatically, but gave up for the time being. “Can we at least see the bunlits?”
"We really shouldn't bother them. They might be trying to sleep or something." Catori was glad he had given up, all though this could have just been part of some elaborate scheme as well.
“I can hear them. And the starlings. There’s also a loud trout.” Damian covered his ears a bit, actually looking a tad overwhelmed.
Catori reached out, placing her hands over his in an attempt to help a bit. "Want me to go tell the trout to quiet down?"
“I’d rather you stayed.” He leaned into her touch. “Your hands are warm.” He hummed quietly.
"That's that fire of mine." She said quietly, a soft smile on her face.
“You used your powers?” Damian reprocipricated her smile.
"Helped Jasper with the fire. It also just makes me warm."
“You should do that more often.” Damian mumbled, closing his eyes.
"I try not to use it too much, things are very flammable now days." She joked, voice soft
“I need to make note to get you a flame resistant wedding dress.” Damian noted, opening his eyes again.
Her cheeks darkened, and her palms were a bit warmer than before. "Might be best. Wouldn't want the whole thing going up in flames, right?"
Damian snuggled up to Catori’s hand, seeking out the warmth by squishing his cheek against her palm. “We can hire someone. You can design your own dress.”
"Oh, that's going to end horribly. I have the style sense of a rock." Catori carefully let a bit more warmth flood to her palm, not enough to be uncomfortable.
“I’ll help.” Damian smiled gently. “You’ll learn quickly, it’s not that hard.”
"I hope so. I've been told a princess really should have more style." She made a face at the memory, nose scrunched up.
“I can assure you, Tori. Your natural beauty is more than enough.” Damian replied smoothly. He still had to win her over, and he intended to do so.
A small flame ignited on the top of her ear, but she snuffed it out quickly with her free hand, coughing. "I-uh.."
Damian seemed to notice he elicited a reaction, recognition sparking in his eyes. “You underestimate your natural beauty, Sparrow.”
Catori shook her head. "There really isn't much of that."
“You’re only furthering my point.” Damian seemed a bit amused by Catori’s reaction now.
"Am not." She said stubbornly, refusing to look at Damian now.
Damian moved his head from Catori’s hand, forcing himself to sit upright. He reached out for her hand, pulling it to his lips as he pressed a gentle kiss to her knuckle.
If she wasn't careful, the entire tent would go up in flames.. Catori made a small noise of surprise, quickly turning to look at Damian with wide eyes.
“Trust me on this.” Damian said confidently, promptly stifling a yawn afterwards.
