Catori covered a snort with her hand. "How exactly did you manage to convince a frog to do that?"
(I didn’t see this! Sorry!)
“It took awhile. Long story short I snuck a frog to the dinner table for a week afterwards.” Damian smiled, happy that Catori was amused.
(Who's that??)
It’s @Divine_Emperor ))
(Oh, ok)
"The poor frog!" Catori exclaimed, giggling.
“She was fine! She got spat right out anyways.” Damian insisted, stifling a laugh.
Pine looked down at his feet and nodded, walking back to the carriage. He opened Lotus's door again.
"And you're not allowed to do anything about it, huh," Victor said quietly.
"Nothing," She said softly, shaking her head, "At least my brother got out of there in time…I want to get away as well, that's why my mother offered for me to come here..If I marry a prince I don't have to go back."
Lotus stepped into the carriage making sure her illusion lifted her skirt up as she entered. She noticed Pine wasn't looking at her, once he had entered she asked, "Is something wrong Pine?"
"She was probably traumatized, Damian!" Catori feigned a horrified expression that crumpled quickly back into giggles.
“She got to eat like a literal king for a week after. I think it was worth it.” He argued playfully. “Speaking of which, are you hungry? We have rations.”
"A fair deal, I guess." Catori rubbed the back of her neck. "Kind of, yes."
“Did you eat this morning? You must’ve been traveling for quite awhile.” Damian actually showed a bit of worry as he grabbed one of several bags filled with food rations. He handed Catori a canteen filled with water.
Catori thought for a moment, her tongue doing the thing(that's how i'm referring to it now lmao), before speaking up again. "I think I ate last night, maybe? I'm not sure though."
“You must be starving then.” Damian insisted, rifling through the bag. He sighed, looking at the foods inside. “I hope you don’t mind jerky and hardtack…”
Catori's cheeks darkened with embarrassment. "I don't mind the hardtack, no. The jerky on the other hand…"
“If you don’t mind stopping I can grow you fresh fruits or vegetables.” Damian offered quickly, worried that Catori would starve on his watch.
"Absolutely not, you aren't wasting your energy on me. I'll be fine with the biscuits, really." Catori shook her head firmly.
“It won’t take a lot if it’s just one plant.” Damian argued. “And you need food. I’m probably going to grow something for myself anyways.”
"It still burns your energy up." Catori stated. "And that isn't good."
“Tori, I do this a lot. You’ll need to adjust to me using my powers.” Damian sighed, pouting at her.
"I absolutely will not. Damian, you passed out on me, and I'm supposed to just get used to that?" She frowned, obviously worried.
“Catori, that’s only because I was extra exhaustion today. I woke up and was functionally evicted from my home. It’s been… tiresome. I’m usually much better energy wise.” Damian replied, stubbornly crossing his arms.
Catori narrowed her eyes, but understood there wasn't much she could actually do but make sure he didn't over do anything. "A small plant. If it starts getting to big, I'll knock you out myself."
“Deal.” Damian smiled, pleased that he had gotten his way once again. “What do you want to eat then?”
